Evelyn's POV
"Miss Moore, re do this file. There are several mistakes in it." Said my cold arrogance boss.'Oh god, not again. I'm so done with his drama.' I thought to myself."I've done it correctly, sir. I even rechecked everything before presenting it to you." I said with greeted teeth.I know very well there is nothing wrong with the file. He is just picking on me unnecessarily. He just wants to annoy me."You are not here to talk back to me. Just do as I say." He replied."Then please enlighten me about my mistakes so that I can improve it." I asked innocently."Just find it yourself. Learn to see your own mistakes and rectify them. Now you may leave. " He said and dismissed me from his cabin."Devil Robinson, I'll choke you to death. " I cursed him under my breath. I know it was my mistake that I misunderstood him on our first meeting, but he is going too far. He always makes me do the same work again and again.I get back to my desk, and I just changed the front page and font of the text, printed the analysis report as it is.'I know, Mr Devil Robinson, you have not gone through the report yet, so you won't know that it's the same file.' I smirked at my thought.I went back to his cabin and submitted the report. He looked at it carefully and said, " Good, now it's better. Be careful from the next time. Don't make silly mistakes. ""But isn't it the same content. I just changed the font." I said and narrowed my eyes at him. He was speechless."Mr Robinson, you are picking on me intentionally. You didn't even go through the file and asked me to re do everything. This is so unfair. " I said, and he was trying to form words." I didn't like the previous font and design Miss Moore, so I asked to make it again." He shamelessly gave that dumb excuse, and I wanted to slap him so hard for that shitty remark.I stormed out of the cabin in anger. I packed my stuff and headed back home. I'll go insane if I stay with this even for a second. I'm done with his nonsense for today.I swear I saw that nasty smirk on his face when I was leaving the cabin. After having a long with that devil troubling me, I'm finally home. I took a shower and cooked some pasta for myself. After eating and cleaning the dishes, I went to my bedroom. As soon as I lay on the bed, it felt like heaven. Finally, I can rest. I closed my eyes and waited for sleep to take over, but my phone started ringing. What the hell. Who is calling at this hour? My blood boiled when I saw the caller ID. It's none other than Devil Robinson."What do you want at this hour?" I snapped as soon I picked his call."Is that a way to talk to your boss, Miss Moore?" he was offended by my tone and as if I care about that."What do you want, sir?" I asked why greeting my teeth."I want you, Miss Moore. " he said huskily, and heat rose to my cheeks."What are you saying?" I asked."I mean I want you to be here with me right now. I have some work for you." he said, and I felt the strong urge to give some piece of my mind ."You are getting too far, Mr Robinson. It's already past my working hours . I'm not coming. " I said."If that's the case, then I'm afraid that I've to look for another secretary. I don't want a secretary who goes to sleep when her boss is working overtime. " he said."You are so cruel, Devil Robinson ." I gasped when I realized what I just called him." What did you say?" He questioned."Nothing, sir. I'll just come to the office in a while." I said sheepishly."No need. Just tell me your address. It's not safe for you to travel alone at this hour. I just want to discuss some details about tomorrow's presentation and also see if you are well prepared. We can do that at your place. " he suggested."Why at my place when we can do it in office?" I objected."Don't worry, I won't do anything to you if that's your concern. I'm least interested in you. And it's going to be only two of us either we do the work at office or your home. All the staff have left already. I was just concerned about your safety." I said.'Concern my foot. I know how much concerned you are, Mr Devil Robinson. Always making plans to annoy me and fire me.' I thought to myself."Ok, I'll text you the address. " I hung up before waiting for his reply.I texted him and went to change and wear something more appropriate. I don't want him to see me in my sexy nightgown. Who knows if that devil tries to do something after seeing me in this. After 20 minutes, the doorbell rang. I opened the door to see my boss. He didn't even wait for me to invite him inside. He just walked inside as if he owned the place."Would you like to have some water, sir?" I asked politely."No need to bother Miss Moore. " he smiled, and everything he smiled, I felt something fishy. But it's a relief that he is going straight to work rather than bothering me about other things and waste my time."If you don't mind, can I get some coffee. I'm so addicted to the coffee you make." he said sweetly. I know all this sweetness is just an act."Sure, sir." I replied."And something to eat too. I haven't eaten dinner yet. " he added. How did I even expect that he won't bother me? But it's late. He must be really hungry. Even if I don't like him but I should not let anyone starve.I cooked some steak for him. And he enjoyed it. He was trying not to moan when he had the first bite, but I noticed it."Thanks for the food and coffee. Now, let's get to work. I want you to make some changes in the presentation you made. I have already highlighted the points you need to change. Plus, I would like you to give the presentation in front of me now so that I can get an idea if you need any improvement."Ok, Sir," I said."This deal means a lot to me, Evelyn. I've worked hard for it for months. I'm serious this time. I'm not making you do this just to annoy you." he stated, and I'm glad that he is not doing it to irritate him.We worked on the presentation for hours, and he was also helping me a lot. I thought it was just his way to increase the workload on me, but he is serious this time. This is the first time I'm not frustrated while working with him. When we finished the work, I got up from the couch and stretched my arms. I was about to walk to the kitchen to get some water, but I tripped on foot and fell on the couch that was too on top of Sebastien. Our faces were just inches apart, and it reminded me about that night with him. I could feel his hot breath on my lips, and my ears were getting hot.He closed the gap between our lips, and I closed my eyes as our lips met.Hey Readers, Finally, I'm ending the book here. I have not been updating regularly for a few months, but in the last few days, as soon as I got free, I updated as much as I could. The story is finished now. A lot of you must have waited for too long. Thank you for being patient. In the meantime, I learned a lot. I tried to change my writing style and make it engaging for you guys. I hope you all loved it. I might have made some mistakes, and I apologize for that. Thank you for your love and support. It means a lot!
At Isabella’s villa, the whole family gathered to spend some time with the little devil. Bella and Sebastian had taken on the roles of doting grandparents, their hearts swelling with pride and joy. Bella cooed softly at Gabriel , who was seated in his bright blue playpen filled with colorful toys. “Oh, look at him! Just look at those cheeks!” Bella exclaimed, her voice high with excitement. She leaned down, her hands resting on the edge of the playpen. “You are going to be spoiled rotten, my little prince!” Sebastian chuckled beside her, a warm smile on his face. “And it’s entirely our fault. Can you believe he’s already six months old? It feels like just yesterday when he was born.” “Time really flies,” Bella agreed, her eyes sparkling with nostalgia. “And he’s already got us wrapped around his little finger. Look at the way he’s holding that toy. He’s going to be quite the little charmer.” As if on cue, Gabriel glanced up at his grandmother, his bright blue eyes gleaming. He gr
David and Isabella were up early, both well acquainted with the routine that came with being parents to their six-month-old son, Gabriel. The soft coos and gurgles of their baby echoed through the room, filling it with a joy that only a child could bring. “Good morning, little buddy,” David said with a wide grin, peering down into the crib where Gabriel lay, his chubby cheeks flushed, and his big blue eyes sparkling with mischief .David reached down, gently lifting Gabriel into his arms, careful not to disturb his little onesie covered devil. Isabella entered the nursery, her hair still tousled from sleep, but her smile brightened the room. “Is it a good morning?” she asked, walking over to them, her arms outstretched. “Every morning is good with this little guy,” David replied, bouncing Gabriel slightly in his arms. The baby laughed, his tiny giggles was like music. Isabella leaned in, pressing a kiss to Gabriel's forehead. “Oh, look at those cheeks! He is so cute.” She gen
It had been almost a year since Isabella and David exchanged vows, pledging their lives to each other in front of family and friends. The past months had been nothing short of blissful, filled with laughter, adventure, and quiet moments of love that reminded them both how far they had come. The villa they shared had become a haven of peace, where they could escape the world and focus on building their life together.Isabella sat on the edge of their bed, her hands resting protectively over her stomach. She could hardly believe it? after weeks of feeling tired and slightly off, she had taken the test earlier that morning. The result had left her stunned, in the best possible way.She was pregnant. The realization hit her like a wave, flooding her with emotions she had never expected. Excitement, joy, a bit of nervousness, but above all, an overwhelming sense of love. She was carrying their child. Their love had created a new life, and she couldn’t wait to tell David. He was out for a m
Isabella stood on the terrace of their villa, gazing out at the ocean. The rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore had always calmed her, but tonight, she felt a twinge of anticipation. David had been secretive all day, dropping hints about a surprise, yet offering no real clues. He had asked her to dress up, telling her only to meet him outside at sunset. The air was warm, with just the slightest breeze tousling her hair. She smoothed down the flowing red dress she had chosen, wondering what David had in store. As she stepped down from the terrace toward the garden, soft music began to play in the distance, the melody familiar and comforting. Following the sound, Isabella rounded the corner of the garden, and what she saw took her breath away. There, in the center of the garden, was a beautifully set table, draped in white linen with glowing candles and a bouquet of her favorite flowers—white lilies and lavender. Tiny twinkling fairy lights hung from the trees above
The estate’s sprawling gardens had been transformed into an elegant wedding venue. Rows of white chairs stretched out on either side of a long aisle, which was adorned with fresh roses, delicate ribbons, and greenery that swayed gently in the breeze. At the end of the aisle stood two grand arches, intertwined with flowers. One arch was for Alonzo and Abigail, and the other for Shelley and Miles. The arrangement was symbolic of the bond between the two couples, inseparable friends, now sharing this beautiful day together.David stood at the front, next to Alonzo and Miles. He cast a glance at his best friend, Alonzo, who was busy adjusting his tie for what seemed like the tenth time in the last five minutes. David chuckled under his breath."Relax," David said with a smile, giving Alonzo a pat on the shoulder. "You’re going to be fine."Alonzo let out a small, nervous laugh, running a hand through his hair. "I know, I know. It’s just… It’s all hitting me now. I’m about to marry Abigai
