SIX MONTHS LATER
"Alena, I don't think it's good," said Willa as she took her purse. "You're still weak," she said as she smiled at her, getting out of her room.
"I'm very fine. I don't feel anything," Alena told herI as they walked down the stairs.
"Alena, It's a terrible idea"," Willa panicked.
"What's going on?" Lucas asked as they walked in the living room.
"She wants to go see him," Willa said dramatically as she looked like she was about to cry. Her father looked at her with wide eyes.
"Have you lost your mind?" He asked, walking up to her.
"No. I want to see how he is. I haven't heard anything of him for months." She dropped her gaze to the floor.
"He is none of your concern anymore," Alena! You are not his wife anymore." His father snapped. "He tried
"Edmund, give me my shoes back!” Alena said sternly while putting her hands on her hips. Edmund looked at her casually as he leaned against the wall. "Edmund, come on! It's getting late now,” Alena said again, but this time trying to hide her smile. "When will you come again?" Edmund asked for the fifth time, raising an eyebrow. "I don't know,” she answered. Her husband shrugged and stood there. "Okay fine. I will come on Thursday. In three days.” She sighed and gave up. She wanted to surprise him that day but he was way too stubborn. "See? It wasn't difficult to cooperate, was it?" He smirked as he walked towards her and gave her shoes back. "You're so annoying!” she said, forcing not to show her smile, but it didn’t work since his chuckle was just so perfect. Not a good w
"She was pregnant! You killed your child!” Uno freaked out as Edmund stared at him. "She deserves to be happy!" His face was so empty that not even a single emotion could be seen on it. "She wants to believe you're changing! But she’s just hurting herself!”At the spur of a moment, Edmund tilted his head. "Did you come all the way here just to tell me this?" he asked in a sea-deep voice. "Get out!” he yelled.Uno sighed and walked out of the room before someone realized he was in there. They didn't want him in. Only the family and people he chose for himself were allowed inside.Alena deserved better. This guy was only going to hurt her, she knew it. He was hoping that what he told him would snap him out of his daydreams.
Alena hate fighting with her friends but she was sure everything's going to be well. Uno is Penelope's brother, so it's not like they could just be mad forever. But it wasn't his place to tell Edmund about it. Her husband is trying his best, and she won't let Uni hurt him even more.Edmund wants to be better and if Uno can't see that, there's nothing she can do but get Edmund rid of him. After leaving Uno's office, Alena went back to Edmund, to see if he was still awake. She walked in his room to see him sitting in the couch, his face in his hands. She closed the door and he looked up so quickly that she thought he was going to break his neck. He looked at her for a moment, and then sighed in relief."I thought you. . .” He began talking but immediately stopped.Alena looked at him, smiling. "What?" she asked so he can continue, but he just shook his head, and mentioned her to come over him. She approached him and
"Alena,” Avrielle called, walking in Alena's room. "There's someone downstairs for you," she said smiling."Okay. I will be there in a second," Alena replied, combing her hair and followed her sister. She walked down the stairs and went to the living room. She saw Uno there."Uno.”Uno turned around and smiled awkwardly. Alena walked up to him and had him a hug. "I'm glad you're here." She pulled away."Yeah, me either. Listen, Alena. I'm truly sorry. I was wrong." He sighed. "You're right. It wasn't my place to tell him about it,” he said sincerely."It's okay.” She smiled to him. "I’m sorry too for what I said the other day," she apologized. He shook his head. "You were right. . .I acted like a coward.” He smiled lightly. "But I promise I won't do anything like that again.”"Thank you,” she said."How is
6 MONTHS LATERALENA'S POV"She'so excited and nervous. She's like a little girl.” Avrielle laughed walking in my room.I laughed."That's so weird for us.” I shook my head as she sat down and started curling her hair while I was straightening mine.My parents are getting married today. Well, they were legally married but they never did it with a preacher. So, Willa wanted to do it so here we are. But they were only getting married in the garden because she also wanted to do it in the house. She didn't want something to formal."And some guests are already here.” She sighed. "I’m so glad Catherine is finally sleeping," she continued curling her hair.Catherine is her daughter. She gave birth months ago."Poor Mama. Only a couple of month and already complaining.” I pouted teasing he
"Seriously, move it. You can do better than that!" Edmund laughed as I just glared at him. I started walking even slower and he stopped raising an eyebrow at me."Don't give that look. It's way too early to be running." I narrowed my eyes at him."I told you I was picking you up at seven and I find you sleeping,” he said. "Why are you so grumpy?" He looked at me in a teasing way."Since you threw water on my face while I was dreaming about Theo James,” I said glaring at him as he narrowed his eyes at me. "Well, next time, you won't have another man in your dreams,” he said, this time glaring at me. I chuckled shaking my head. "Now move it!” He took my hand and started running again."Not so fast, Love,” I whined. "My legs are still asleep."He sighed before looking at me. I felt his hands on my waist and he threw me over h
I walked in the living room. Uno looked up at me, and sighed. "I came to apologise again for the other.” He ran a hand through his hair. "I just think you are making a big mistake by getting back to him," he said. "Alena, you do realize that you deserve better, right?"I fought the urge to roll my eyes. "I thought you came to apologise." I sighed. "Listen, I already know what you think, and like I said, you don't need to worry,” I said honestly."Well I think there's something to worry about.” He took a step closer to me but I took one back."How can I forget and make things better with him if you keep reminding me of the past?” I glared at him."Well, you shouldn't forget because it could happen again." He took a step closer, and I took one back again. "I'm not saying this because I hate him. I just want the best for you"."And he will give
I walked in the building. People greeted me as I walked straight to the elevator. Nothing has changed since the last time. I walked in the elevator and sighed before pressing the button. When it stopped, I walked out and made my way to his office.“Someone said cheerfully,” I chuckled and turned around. Edmund's assistantant pulled me into a quick hug and I smiled."It's been a while." I smiled and he nodded. "How is J?" I asked and he blushed lightly. "You're blushing. Looks like everything is good.” I smirked."Stop it, Mrs Cardinal." He smiled raising an eyebrow. "Are you here to see the Boss?" he asked.I rolled my eyes. "No. I'm here for grocery Shopping.” I smirked and he rolled his eyes."Boss is in his office. Yes, he is alone. And yes, he is not busy,” he said.I smiled and thanked him before walking to the office. I knocked and wallked in. He looked at me as I closed the door
