Chapter 26: Back To The Hotel Room

Third person’s POV

Mark and Ivor looked at Lia, who was sitting in the chair and hugging her head. They all understood that she was drunk.

Mark said, “Doesn’t anyone seem to tell her that this wine is slow to get drunk?” And he got back a sharp look from Ivor. Mark sighed, saying, “All right, I’m the wine picker, I’ll take responsibility. But it was a surprise that she drank so much.”

Mark walked closer to Lia, touched her shoulders, and shook her slightly. He said, “Lia, are you all right? Can you return to the hotel room on your own?”

Lia was struggling with her dizziness, feeling uncomfortable when shaken. She shoved his hand away, kept holding her head, and said nothing. Mark sighed, remarking, “She doesn’t look well. I’ll take her to her room.”

Mark looked toward Ivor’s seat but did not see him. “It’s up to you,” Ivor said from behind Mark.

“Where have you been? I didn’t even realize you were leaving,” Mark said. “Lia doesn’t seem to be able to get back to her room by herself, so
