Emily hadn't even woken up when Jeffry was at her door. Shila greeted him, and Jeffry engaged her in a brief conversation as they sat on the porch and enjoyed the morning air.

They were silent for a while. There were all kinds of thoughts running through Jeffry's mind. And so did Shila. Questions about how much Jeffry loves Emily, his best friend.

Jeffry unconsciously broke into a faint smile. His eyes sparkled as if he was genuinely happy.
