Next day

Nolan was sitting in front of his mahogany desk on the 38th floor of his office building and trying very hard to focus on the documents in his hands. As the youngest and most prominent CEO in the country, Nolan had a lot to do in his busy schedule, but, he was unable to concentrate on anything. His mind and heart were filled with Shyla’s pale face, and that face appeared in his mind every time he tried to concentrate. This was the first time he had been disturbed at his work, and that, too, because of Shyla, irritated him like hell. Shyla’s face looked twice as strong in his mind as he struggled to concentrate on work.

So, he took his phone from beside the laptop and dialed a number. Soon, the call was connected. And a surprised voice came through it, that voice belonged to a man, and that person was none other than Ivan.

Ivan: “How did I get the honor of getting a call from the great CEO, Nolan Bernard?” he said with a surprised tone.
