158 The Hell With Everything

"The Three Hallows?" Metis frowned.

"The wand, the stone, and the ring." Erebus murmured.

"That's right." Menoetius nodded, "But by then I had no idea what she was even talking about, I was just pointed to a direction and so I ran."

"That sounds a bit risky, for her to give you this assignment." Metis frowned, "What happens if you couldn't find her? After all, you didn't know anything about this matter."

"We knew." Menoetius nodded, "But while she wasn't exactly 'arrested', she couldn't go anywhere either. I think it's the Queen's mistake to leave the guard in the dark, because if the wolf guarding her didn't let me in, then it would be even harder."

"Still --"

But before Metis could finish her concern about the past, the rest of the Dim Patronus was already there.

"My Lord." Pallas bowed to Erebus with a polite smile and stood on the side, calm and with grace, like always. He was Erebus's oldest warrior, and they knew each other too
