Chapter 118

Celestine's POV

I slip back into the house and immediately head for the stairs. Making sure my footsteps are light, I rush into my room and move to my wardrobe, throwing the doors open. I reach for a suitcase, the biggest one I can find, and throw it onto my bed.

Opening it, I start throwing clothes inside. I'm not even looking at what I'm putting into it. I'm just shoving whatever I can grab into it. Next, I head into the bathroom, putting all my toiletries into a small bag which is then shoved into the suitcase. I open my drawer and reach for some cash I had in there. We'll definitely be needing it.

Just as I'm about to close the drawer, something sparkling catches my eyes. It's the ring. The ring Lorenzo gave to me. I had shoved it into this drawer as soon as I got back home. I couldn't let his father or my mom see me wearing it so I kept it locked away.
