SURPRISE VISIT

LEO'S POV

I was so angry with myself for what I had done, what was I actually thinking when I carried Clara on my lap in the presence of those maid and all she could do was embarrass me. Even while we ate, the courage to look up at her or even talk to her wasn't there. I wanted to find a way to just leave the room, if possible disappear after noticing that she was looking at me, it seemed like she knew how embarrassed I was but still decided not to apologize. I was almost done with my food which I had been forcing myself to eat and wondered if she noticed that also. Suddenly I remembered that I was suppose to go and check on my guard and rose up immediately, walking towards the door with hands in my pocket. "She won't even ask where I was headed?" I said aloud while going down the stairs. On getting to my guard room, I saw him entering the mansion through the main door with an envelope in his left hand. My cheeks curled into a smile and turned back into a frown within a second. I co
