CHAPTER 22

TRYING HER LUCK

Yaze asked permission from work to leave early for an important errand to do.   She went hurriedly to the Montero Mansion.    At the Montero Mansion gate, Yaze asked the gate guard.

"Sir, is Senyorito Lexter at home?" Yaze politely asked the guard.

"He is here, do you have an appointment with him?" the gate guard asked.

"No, sir but if can possibly talk to him, its important," Yaze asked politely.

"Well, I have to ask first if he wanted to accept visitors," the gate guard briefly explained.

The gate guard called in the mansion, "A lady is asking to talk to Senyor Lexter." 

"What is your name lady?" the gate guard asked.

"Yaze Cruz, sir," Yaze answered.

"The lady is Yaze Cruz," the gate guard said on the phone.   The guard waited for a reply for a few minutes, then the guard opens the gate.

"You can go walk to the front door and knock," the guard said
