Chapter 16

Vivian stormed into the house, her frustration and anger boiling within her. She couldn't stand being with Jerry anymore.

"Jerry, I wanta divorce," she said, her voice shaking with emotion.

Jerry's face turned cold as he heard her words. "We can't get a divorce,Vivian. Our marriage is not yet a month old," he said, trying to remain calm.

Vivian's eyes widened in disbelief. "What do you mean we can't get a divorce? This marriage is a mistake and it needs to end now," she said firmly.

"I know you're upset, Vivian. But the court won't grant us a divorce until we've been married for at least six months," Jerry explained, his voice taking a conciliatory tone.

"I don't care about what the court says," Vivian replied, her tone resolute. "I want out of this marriage and I want it now."

Jerry frowned. "You can't just walk away from this, Vivian. You made a commitment when you married me. You can't just give up on it so easily."
