Chapter 32

As they stepped out of Leo's house and into the car waiting outside, Vivian couldn't help but feel a sense of dread settle in her stomach. She wasn't sure if she was making the right decision in going back to Jerry. She had been hurt before and the wounds were still fresh in her mind.

Jerry must have noticed her unease because he reached over and took her hand in his. "Vivian, I know I've made mistakes in the past, but I promise you that I will do anything to make things right between us. I love you and I don't want to lose you. I'll change for you, I'll do whatever it takes."

Vivian turned to Jerry and looked into his eyes. She could see the sincerity shining through and it warmed her heart. She believed him and she wanted to give him another chance, but she also knew that it wouldn't be easy.
