Chapter 6

Vivian was beaming as she entered the house and kicked off her heels. She had just landed a secretarial job at a prestige company andcouldn't wait to start. It was the first time she felt a sense of fulfillment since her father passed away.

She grabbed her phone and called Mrs. Rose, the woman who took her in as her own daughter. "Guess what, Mrs.Rose? I got the job!" Vivian exclaimed.

Mrs. Rose was ecstatic for Vivian. "That's wonderful news, my darling girl. I am so proud of you," she said, her voice filled with warmth and love.

Vivian then called her father-in-law, Mr. Will, to inform him of her good news. "Mr. Will, I just wanted to let you know that I landed a job as a secretary at a great company," she said.

Mr. Will was taken aback when he heard the news. He couldn't believe that Vivian was working at another company when he had offered her jobs in his own companies. "Why did you take a job at a different company, Vivian? You know you can work at any of our companies."
