The schedule was so tight for the day, Felix felt drained , his shoulder heavy already cause of the back to back meetings. He was exhausted already for the dinner meeting with the representative from Charles creative agency, but then he needed to attend it cause it has been planned weeks ago to hold that day.
The meeting has been scheduled to hold at exactly 8 pm sir and this is 7:30, can we be on our way now?" Elena asked standing beside the office door Felix sighed and rose to his feet "Sure let's go Elena, what's the name of the restaurant once again?" Elena answered starling restaurants. He nodded slowly , he had heard about this restaurant to be one of the most expensive restaurant in the city, with fancy foods. Felix and his assistant hopped into the car and the driver drove them down to the restaurant. They were both welcomed by the staffs of the restaurant as they entered , aroma of different types of delicacies filled the air, making the place captivating and fascinating to enter and seat. Felix sat on one of the chair and Elena sat beside her boss, "wow this place is so cool and amazing, at least i can come here sometimes to enjoy myself , I mean after an hectic day at work like today ." Elena smiled and nodded to what her boss said . Just then everything around Felix slowed as a young breathtaking lady walked in exuding confidence in every steps , her curvy, hourglass figure is undeniably, her fair skin glowed, under the soft lighting of the restaurant, her high quality human hair dropped down her shoulders, she is dressed in form fitting corporate gown. The fabric hugged her curves in all the right places. "Evening Mr Felix, it's my pleasure to be here ." She said with her hand stretched out to receive an handshake from the CEO. Felix composed himself stood up and stretched his hand forward to receive the handshake from this gorgeous lady,"Good evening madam" with a big smile on his face, "You can have your seat ."he said. The waiter came in with a menu on his hand, he handed it over to Felix, "what would you like to drink madam?" Felix asked, but Florence politely turned down the request to have a drink "let's discuss about business first Mr Felix this is the main reason why we are here sir , but I promise I'm going to have the drink after the discussion ." Felix ordered the waiter to go and promise to call him after their meeting. "Pardon my manners sister good evening."she said to Elena , Elena replied with the most gorgeous smile of hers, revealing all her 32 teeth. The lady introduced herself " my name is Florence Winslow, I work in the marketing department at Charles creative agency." She said with the most gorgeous smile. "I'm Felix by name, the CEO of Sebastian's Enterprise nice meeting you Miss Florence," he said stretching his hand for another hand shake , which she accepted effortlessly with a great smile. "Now let's get to business, Charles creative agency, have seen how flourishing your company is proposing an high impact ad campaign for your upcoming product launch,"she began by bringing out a neatly bound proposal and handed it over to him "strategic placement in both digital and print media, with a focus on audience engagement." Felix flipped through the pages and scanned a through the contents," so what guarantee does it offers?" He asked as he keeps flipping through the pages and checking. "Exclusively and the result would determine that, and u won't regret working with us. This is the copy of rules and regulations guiding this contract." He said as she slipped into her bag to bring out a neat documents which at the ends will require the signature of both them, but then Felix refused to sign immediately, demanding for another meeting to for a final details and more discussion on it. "You suggesting another meeting? Mr Felix, she asked , he replied immediately and made his reason more clear, he told her how he needs more private time to think and agree to the rules and regulations guiding the contract, as business like this needs clarity . Okay no problem Mr Felix." They exchanged business cards with contact number on it . Elena signaled to the waiter to come as the meeting is already over, the waiter came and asked Mrs Florence first, "bottle of water is okay for me" Felix asked with a facial expression "a bottle of water? Are u sure that's what u wants or u are just shy ?," she replied with a huge smile on her face, showcasing her white well arranged teeth "shy? I'm not shy Mr Felix, I'm just okay with a bottle of water" the waiter faced Felix and he requested for a bottle of non alcoholic red wine, Elena told the waiter to bring just a cold juice for her. " enough of business discussions can I know more about you? Okay let me introduce myself properly again, I'm Felix by name ,( the waiter came in dropped the water, juice and wine, he uncorked the wine and poured in Felix's cup, he poured Elena's juice too also Florence's water inside her cup then left) I'm Felix once again , I'm the owner of the company you looking forward to collaborating with, I'm 43 years old." He sipped his red wine giving Miss Florence audience to talk. "I'm Florence Winslow, I work in the marketing department im Charles creative agency as you already know and I'm 38." She said and sipped her water. Felix was surprised and asked “you are 38? Oh my God , you look so young, wow, so are you miss or Mrs Florence?", "well that's a story for another day Mr Felix, she smiled standing gracefully as she gathered her things. "Nice meeting you Mr Felix, give me a call or drop me a line once you done reviewing the documents", she replied, smiled and waved at Elena who also waved back smiling brightly. Felix fixed his gaze at the sexy round shape of Florence's butts, shaking as she walked out of the restaurant with the most amazing walking steps, "OMG ! She is Hot as the fuck." He said licking his mouth. He gulped the remaining wine in his cup and called the waiter for the bank account so he could make transfer and head to his house. As they stepped into the car again , Felix couldn't stop thinking about Florence, the thought kept coming in "Good night sir ." Elena said as the driver stopped at the usual place they use to drop Elena everyday, "Good night dear" he replied absentmindedly as Elena hopped out of the car. Car honked and the gate of a large luxurious building was opened by a guy dressed in a security uniform, the compound was large enough with a lot of exquisite cars. ."Good evening sir,"the security man said as he opened the back door for Felix to come down. He replied and asked how his day went. Felix head inside hearing the security man's answer faintly. The chef rushed to him and greeted him with a welcome smile as he was about to climb the stairs to his room "how are u Sandra ?"she replied and asked for the permission to set the table but he refused and said he already ate something on his way back home, the chef nodded and as she was about to leave, "wait did u see Alex today ?" She replied "No" . He nodded and told her to go not to worry herself about the boy. He went to his room, took a shower and collapsed on his bed with the thought of Florence coming through his head "How can a lady be so sexy, beautiful, gorgeous and hot with the baddest shape like this ? all these qualities in a lady?, wow."He kept asking himself this same question, confused. "Dad? "Dinner was served on the long dining table that night. The aroma of fried rice and grilled chicken filled the air. Florence sat beside Felix, Alex sat across from Cecilia. Everything seemed peaceful until Cecilia’s phone vibrated. She glanced down. James. Her heart skipped. She turned the screen down quickly and ignored it. A minute later, it rang again. “Why are you not picking your call?” Florence asked, lifting her head. “Mum, I’ll call the person later,” Cecilia said sharply, a little too defensive. Florence raised an eyebrow at her tone. Alex, who had been watching her quietly, spoke up, “It’s obvious she’s keeping to the rules of table manners, ma,” he said, scooping a spoonful of rice and chewing slowly. Florence didn’t press further, but Cecilia’s hand shook slightly as she placed the phone on her lap. The call came again, and she silenced it once more. They finished dinner, exchanging only light talks here and there. When they were done, Felix wiped his mouth
Cecilia was still lying in bed the next morning, eyes wide open, the sunlight streaming through the curtains doing little to lift her mood. She hadn’t slept well James’s messages kept flashing in her mind like a bad movie. Her phone was under her pillow, but she hadn’t replied again. She didn’t know what to do yet. A knock sounded on her door. Cecilia, are you in there? The voice was soft, familiar. She sat up. “Rebecca? What’s up ?” she asked as she opened the door. Rebecca stepped in with a warm smile, holding a small gift bag. “I was around the neighborhood, so I decided to check on you. I heard from the officers outside that things are getting a little better here. Can I come in?” “Sure, come in.” Cecilia forced a small smile and moved aside. Rebecca looked around the room. “Wow, you’ve made this place look cozy,” she said, dropping the bag on the table. “So, how’s life now? You look… tired.” Cecilia sat on the edge of her bed, sighing. “Tired is an understatement. A lot h
The morning sun slipped through the curtains, throwing a soft light across the big living room. It was quiet too quiet for a house that had seen so much noise and drama the past few weeks. Sandra was already moving around, setting the table for breakfast. The smell of tea and toasted bread filled the air. Cecilia came down first, her hair tied loosely, dressed in an oversized T-shirt that just grazed her thighs. She had her phone in one hand, scrolling absently, a small crease of thought on her forehead. “Good morning,” Sandra greeted warmly, wiping her hands on her apron. “Morning, Sandra,” Cecilia murmured, offering a faint smile as she sank into the chair nearest the window. “This smells like heaven. You’re spoiling us.” “Not at all,” Sandra chuckled. “You all deserve a bit of peace.” Moments later, Alex appeared, still rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. His joggers hung carelessly around his waist, his hair an untamed mess. He glanced at Cecilia, their eyes brushing
Annabel sat on the edge of her bed, her face buried in her palms. Bills and rent notices were scattered across the table in front of her like a battlefield she had already lost.“Why did I even start all this? Why was I after Felix in the first place?” she whispered, her voice cracking. “I lost my job, I lost my boyfriend, I lost Felix… now the whole world thinks I’m the one behind all the mess happening in his house. God, I’m tired.”She sighed deeply and stared at the ceiling as if the answer might fall from there. The room was hot, the fan spinning lazily above her head. Her life felt just the same spinning, but going nowhere.“I’ve searched for work everywhere. Nothing. And now, the only offer I’m getting is from a man who said he’ll sleep with me for two weeks straight and still make me work three months for free before even paying me that thing they call a salary. Oh God, I messed up my life.”Her eyes trailed back to the papers. Rent four weeks overdue. Electricity bill due.
“Don’t tell me that, Ella! Who do you think you really are? Eh? Tell me, what is your problem?” Sonia’s voice echoed across the hallway, sharp and trembling with suppressed anger. Ella turned slowly, her heels clicking against the tiled floor. “Will you shut that dirty, gutter mouth of yours?” she fired back, her tone laced with venom. “I’m the boss here, Sonia. Try anything funny, and I will sack you. Nobody nobody will question me for it, you fool.” Without waiting for a response, Ella spun on her heels and stormed into her office. Sonia stood frozen for a second, her chest rising and falling as if she had swallowed her words too quickly. “What am I seeing? Ella… said this to me?” she muttered under her breath, clutching her files tighter before going back to her corner office. By mid-morning, Felix and Florence arrived at the company, shadowed by Mr. Obasi and two additional officers from the station. The presence of security had become a quiet norm in their lives four stati
Monday arrived with an unsettling calmness. The weekend’s storm of emotions had left Cecilia drained, but she welcomed the company of her best friend, Rebecca, who was perched on her bed with a bag of chin-chin between them. “I told you, Cecilia,” Rebecca said, her voice full of mock wisdom, “I can’t mislead you or push you into something bad. I knew from day one James was not the right person for you.” Cecilia sighed, chewing slowly on five chin-chin pieces. Her eyes wandered. “Babe, I believe you now. James broke me for real. If you see the way he was handling that girl…” Her lips twitched with a pained smile. “My brain can’t stop bringing back the picture.” Rebecca’s laughter was low and teasing. “I know if it wasn’t for the good girl in you, you would have just stayed, let him sex you right and make girl feel pain and regret it what she said.” Cecilia chuckled despite herself. “Yes oo, but I can’t do such.” They both laughed lightly, sharing the quiet relief of hard trut
