Chapter Four

The next thing i heard was a strong vibration in my pocket. I put my hand in the pocket got my phone out; It was Bruce calling

''Hello?'' I answered.

I could not clearly get what he was saying and am sure he was unable to get me either. This was due to the loud music.

So the only thing i kept saying was 'Just text man' i said this for like 3-4 times. Eventually the text came in saying 'Broski i can't see where you are'. I texted back saying ' Where are you exactly?'. He replied saying 'am by the entrance to the bar'. 'Okay cool, let me find you there' I replied. I told Jasmine i was going to get Bruce, then she insisted on coming with me.

We left the crowded place and headed for the entrance. As we were walking holding each others hands.

Jay!..Jay! Hey Jasmine! a female voice shouting at a distance. We looked back and forth,sideways but we could  see no not anyone shouting at Jay. Eventually we saw April standing and waving at us.

''Hey guys!, over here!'' She shouted again.

We walked towards her. Angel was sitting while April was standing.

''Having a good time right?'' She asked giving us a smile.

''Yeah kind of.'' We responded at the same time.

 We exchanged looks and grinned at each other.

''Bruce has been calling me.'' I went on to say.

''Yeah he's with us he just got here like a couple of mins ago.'' April said.

''Where's he?'' I asked.

 ''Ah.... He just said he will be coming, i think he's getting somebody.'' She said.

Jasmine let go of my hand and went to her associate and susurrused in her hear. I didn't know what the susurrus was all about. The only thing i heard was 'Oh sure, shall we?' from April.

They left us sitted by then i had already located a sit for myself.

''Hey bro, how's it going with you.'' I asked Angel.

''All good man we are getting along nicely, he said.

''That's good to know'' i said.

''She told me she works for Spurs-Mini Mart a part-time job'' he said.

''Why part-time does she have other things do do?'' i asked.

''Not really, but she's still at school. Copperbelt University(CBU), she's pursuing a bachelor's in environmental health'' he said as he took a sip from his cup.

''Oh yeah i see, she's in which year?'' i asked.

''In her final year'' he responded.

I didn't say a thing except i nodded my head.

''And with no doubt things are good with you.'' He said.

 ''Nah! She tripping man.'' I said with a low facial expression.

 ''Are you for real?'' He asked.

 I was like ''I mean it bro, its ain't things man.''

I could tell he was in shock after what i told him; he's face looked pale and in panic.

''Oh poor you.'' He said.

I said to him  ''Don't you fret bro, all is gonna be well.''

A moment of no talking Angel was busy tapping on his phone again, i got mine as well trying to check the time. The moment i put back my phone in the pocket; i saw Bruce and a lady coming towards us.

 ''She's here.'' I said.

''Who?'' Angel asked.

''The boss lady.'' I said.

 He looked behind and saw what i was talking about.

''Hey pumpkin''. I said with a smile on my face and getting to my feet i gave her a hug.

And Angel said ''Its nice to have you here baby girl.''

''Thank you, am very delighted to join you guys, i really missed your company.'' She responded and smiling towards us.

It was Suzie Bruce's long term girlfriend. She was wearing a grey pair of soft skin jean and a navy blue top and flat black girlie shoes. She had short curly hair and she was a bit light in complexion, chabby kind of body and a round face.

Shortly after, the girls were back and Bruce began to make the introductions.

He went on ''Hey girls meet Suzie''. 'Suzie this is Jasmine' pointing at her. They waved at each other for they were standing at a distance.

''April this is Suzie. Suzie! April?'' He said. They exchanged hands for they were standing close to one another.

''Nice to meet you Suzie.'' April said.

''Nice to meet you too, April.'' She responded.

Everbody was then quiet listening to the loud music, people screaming and dancing to Zayn Malik's-Dusk Till Dawn ft Sia. It was a wild party and after a moment of some silence Angel went ahead to break the muteness.

''Hi excuse me'' Angel said raising his finger to a waiter who was passing by the table where we were.

''Guys, make your orders.'' He added.

We all said what we wanted and began waiting for the drinks and some pork chops. Shortly the waiter brought a bucket full of different kinds of refreshments and ice cubes in it. We all took our respective preferences and began to imbibe. The pork chops were brought as well mins after the drinks. We imbibed and ate the food until that moment came where we all wanted to dance to the rythm.

 Even Angel and April got to their feet and danced to the tunes. Who knew the day was going to turn up like that. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We danced upto somewhere around 9:45pm.

A vibration in my pocket again, i wondered who that was. I saw it was Angel who had texted me saying 'brotherman what's the plan?'

 I got stuck cause literally we had planned nothing after the beach party. 'I don't have any bro, what about you?' i replied.

'Let me check on Bruce i will apprise you asap' he texted.

 'Okay sharp sharp man' i texted back.

He texted Bruce and he suggested that since we've had enough of dancing its time we went to a quiet place where we could talk business.

Angel got back to me and told me we should go to Capones. I got hold of Jay's hand and we headed for the exit door.

We went direct to the parking lot, fortunately the other two couples were already there waiting for us.

''I was thinking of texting you guys.'' I said.

''At least we've saved your texts.'' Angel responded.

''Thats true man.'' I said.

Angel pressed the unlocking button on the car key, it made a sound it usually makes either when locking or unlocking and dimmed  the indicators twice. We had no difficult in sitting since it was a Quantum bus, we opened doors, got in and sat so comfortably.

Angel and April sat in the front seats, myself and Jay were sitting at the back, Bruce and Suzie occupied the middle seats.

We waited for like 4-5 cars before we could get out of the parking lot, we reached the highway and luckily there was no vehicles coming either sides of the road. We joined the highway smoothly and drove off
