GUILT TRIP
Bianca's POV ❤️My head was banging by the time I woke up in the morning. It felt like I was suffering from an hangover, meanwhile, I didn't drink. Do people get hangover from ice cream? No! I highly doubt that. This wasn't the first time I was having ice cream, so why was my head banging like crazy?I tilted my head and saw Kumiko sleeping peacefully. She looked so cute and less dangerous like this. I imagined her being so peaceful, and I couldn't help but laugh at my thoughts. It wasn't possible. Kumiko wasn't born for peace.I finally remembered what happened last night and how we screamed our guts out from the horror movie we watched. So that's what is causing this headache. Now I've to take pain killers, and I was not a fan of medicines, not to talk of hospitals, so I tried my best to stay as healthy as possible.I went to the kitchen to make breakfast for the both of us. Nothing fancy or extreme, this headache wouldn't even let me. I had to eat, take some pain killers, shower and brush, in no particular order, then go to work. The thoughts of going to work made my head hurt more and my stomach churn. Maybe I should just call in sick, but I guess it wasn't necessary.I stirred the eggs in the frying pan to avoid it from getting burnt."Yoshi!" (It's done!) I exclaimed in Japanese.Kumiko was teaching me some Japanese words. Though I couldn't speak it very well, there are some words I hear her use all the time, so I got accustomed to them. I put two slices of bread in the toaster and went ahead to have my bath. I just hope it doesn't get burnt.By the time I got to the living room, Kumiko was already awake and she was having breakfast."Looking sexy as always, girlfriend." She winked at me as she put a handful of toast in her mouth."Good morning to you too." I chuckled at her words, she was definitely teasing me."Remind me again, are you going to work...?" she gasped."...or are you working at a strip club now?" I blinked at her confusedly. A strip club? Really? Did I look that good? I wasn't even putting on something exposing, I was putting on the customized t-shirt from work and a black pant, nothing much, nothing fancy. I wasn't even on makeup. Kumiko, she is such a drama queen."Get out of here." I scowled at her, and made my way to the kitchen. I couldn't believe her right now."Also, one more thing. Did you happen to 'accidentally' add alcohol into our ice creams?" She raised her eyebrows and got serious all of a sudden. It was quite funny.I shook my head.Luckily, I wasn't the only one feeling like we had alcohol. I reminded her about last night and the horror movie we watched and how we screamed our guts out. Her mouth formed an 'O' shape and we both burst out laughing. She had already replaced the toast I made earlier with another one. She even made me coffee, this would probably help. I dished my scrambled eggs and toast and ate it in a little bit of rush, avoiding choking on my food."Calm down, dude..."I widened my eyes when she called me a dude."What? Right now, you are behaving like a dude. Your food isn't going anywhere, take your time to eat it."She was right though, I had to take things easy."Maggie isn't going to kill you if you got to work late."She was right again, but I couldn't afford to go to work late. What if there was traffic? I couldn't fly to work. I had to leave early, to get there early.I took some painkillers after I was done eating, and hurriedly made my way out of the house without even telling Kumiko good bye. I couldn't afford to be late.Jason usually picks me up but since he wasn't here, I will have to take a taxi. Luckily for me, there was no traffic. I was so happy.I got to the restaurant where I worked and everything was silent. There were no customers. What was happening? Weren't we opened for today? But Maggie would have told me. Or did they lock the door because I was late? I checked my phone for the time and I was early, I barely made it on time but I was still early. So what was happening?I took my phone out and I was about calling Maggie when I saw the door opening; it was Maggie. She looked really worried.Maggie was the manager and owner of the restaurant I worked in. She is a really kind and sweet lady, and hardly lets her worries show. But now, she seemed really stressed out. Something must have happened to her, or something must have happened to the restaurant."What happened?" I was already getting nervous with the way she was acting. I needed answers."The restaurant is shutting down. He came here." Who the fuck was this 'he'? I was so confused and I think she caught on."Charles... Charles Bandra."My eyes widened in surprise. Of course it was him. Who else could it had been? I don't know if I was shocked about this or not. So immature of him. Was this pay back for what I did to him? I wasn't expecting him to act too soon. I felt really guilty. All of this is my fault. Because of me, Maggie has to suffer, my coworkers has to suffer. Because of me, this place will shut down, because of me...I couldn't believe he would do something like this. This restaurant has been in existence for so long now, how long will he continue to torment me? How much more would he take from me? First the forest, now this? Why does he keep on trying to destroy the things that are dear to me? This wasn't fair. I hate him."I'll fix this." I reassured Maggie.I had to do something, and fast. I had to stop this monster of a man before he comes for my friends next.Hi, readers ❤️ We have finally come to end of this chapter. Words can't reveal how much this means to me 💞 It took me two years or more to complete this book (I lost count), but I'm finally done. Yayyyyy 🥳💅 Thanks to everyone who was still sticking around with me even after my irregular uploads and updates. Thank you so much for trusting me and trusting the process cause it got to a point where I wasn't even sure of what I was doing. This is my first novel ever but in my opinion, it turned out far better than I had imagined (I tried for my first attempt). I made lots of errors, deviated from the story line a little bit, and there were days where I felt like giving up, but I'm extremely glad I didn't and that I pushed through. "You wouldn't know unless you try!" This has been my go to quote, my inspiration whenever I felt like giving up. Although it took me two years to complete it, there's no need for me to be hard on myself. So, this is my special thanks to everyone for stickin
HAPPILY EVER AFTER EPILOGUEBianca's POV ❤️"Charlesssss, hurry!!!" I screamed, a hint of impatience in my voice. "My gosh, what’s taking you so long?""Coming, babe!" Charles called back, but there was still no sign of him.Charles and I had been living on the island—my island—for a week now. He seemed to be starting to forget the weight of what happened to his brother, or maybe he was just trying to forget. One thing I knew for sure was how much happier he seemed now. He wasn’t completely over the past, but he was making progress, letting go of the guilt he had carried for so long.Since I owned the island now, I invited Zac and Kumiko to join us. It would be more fun with all of us together, and they were already on their way.I heard the door open behind me, followed by a hand wrapping around my waist. Charles kissed my neck, and I shivered. Now wasn’t the time for this. I couldn’t get distracted right now."Hey, little one. Sorry I took so long.""It's fine." I replied, but then
THE END OF A LOVE STORY Charles's POV ❤️ Bianca’s tears flowed freely, soaking into my shoulder as I held her close. Her trembling shoulders pressed against me, and I couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride and relief. I stroked her hair gently as she cried tears of joy into my shoulder. Each soft sob echoed the overwhelming happiness she felt. Seeing her this happy—it made everything worth it. She was happy, and that was all that mattered to me. Her grip on the documents tightened as though she feared they might disappear if she let go. “I love you so much, Bianca,” I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. “I love you more than I can ever say. Thank you for staying with me.” She pulled back slightly, just enough to look into my eyes, her own brimming with gratitude. “Charles, thank you for everything. Thank you for believing in me, for fighting for me, for... this.” Her gaze flicked down to the papers in her hands. "Thank you for everything, Charles. Thank you," she said betwee
THE BEGINNING OF THE END VIJason's POV ❤️The bar wasn’t crowded, but it wasn’t quiet either. A low hum of conversations mixed with clinking glasses created a steady rhythm. I sat in a corner booth, my fingers nervously tapping against the wooden table. The glow of the overhead light made the transparent liquid in my glass shimmer, but I hadn’t touched it. It had been three weeks since I met Mabel. Three weeks since she found me broken, bleeding, and lost. And now, even after I had been discharged from the hospital, she was still here. I couldn’t shake the thought—why does she care so much?I didn’t deserve her kindness. I hadn’t even fully healed emotionally. I still haven't fully gotten over Bianca yet, even though I knew she had found her happiness elsewhere. Meeting Mabel had been like finding a lifeline I didn’t know I needed. But was it fair to her? “Hey, Jason,” a familiar voice called out, soft yet vibrant. I glanced up and spotted Mabel near the entrance of the bar we h
WELCOME TO GREEN ISLAND II Bianca's POV ❤️ We had finally arrived at the island, and the sight before me stole my breath all over again. The expanse of the crystal-clear ocean shimmered under the golden sun, its waves crashing gently against the shore in a soothing rhythm. The air carried a salty tang, mingled with the earthy scent of the surrounding forest, which seemed greener and more vibrant than I remembered. As Charles and I stepped off the jet, my arm wrapped snugly around his, I couldn’t help but drink it all in. Everything felt surreal, like stepping into a painting that was somehow more alive than reality. It was astounding. Standing by the dock, Mr. Matthews was already waiting for us. It was almost as if he had some sixth sense for our arrival—or maybe he had just been standing there for hours, keeping himself entertained with the ocean waves, but the warm smile on his face showed no sign of impatience. In the distance stood the house, the only structure on the is
THE START OF A NEW BEGINNING Charles's POV ❤️It was finally the day to leave for the island. Mr. Tusch was driving, and Bianca and I sat in the backseat. She hummed a cheerful tune, her legs swinging back and forth like an overexcited kid. I couldn’t help but marvel at how effortlessly childish she could be. The drive was smooth, and soon, we arrived at my private airport. My jet stood waiting, sleek and ready for takeoff. Mr. Tusch brought the car to a halt. The moment the engine cut off, Bianca flung the door open and bolted toward the jet, her excitement spilling over. Meanwhile, my bodyguards approached. Two opened the door for me while the others began unloading the luggage from the trunk. “Welcome, Master Charles,” they chorused, their voices perfectly synchronized. Bianca paused mid-step when she realized I wasn’t following her. She turned back, hands on her hips, her expression somewhere between amused and impatient. “See you soon, Master Charles,” Mr. Tusch said w
