👆🏼That's how I imagine Darsh (as young Gurfateh Pirzada), you can imagine him as you wish. The story took a 6-year leap, just so if you didn't see the dates I have mentioned above in every chapter.

March 1, 2015 (6 years later)

"You know this might be a bad idea to come from this side of the street at night. You guys see those street dogs on the left, they are ready to jump us any second now", I said watching dogs from my peripheral view. "Don't look at them, don't walk fast and most importantly, don't you dare run", commanded Virin in an accusing tone.

"I am not promising anything", I told him still walking fast, with my full attention on dogs that are trying to follow us. "What is with you and dogs? Even Darsh's dog seems to hate you", said Kyra laughing.

"How would I know? Last time I checked I don't speak dog's language", I said walking fast trying to avoid the topic. "Oh wait, I know that horrible expression you give when you try to cover up something. What did you do to my cute Rocher?!", shouted Virin as if Rocher is his dog.

Ugh, I wish this never came up he will never stop pestering until I give up. "It's not what you think, it's just that she might have caught me stalking her owner once or twice", I mumbled under my breath almost wishing they haven't heard anything. But, that's just wishing because the second I finished they cackled like Heynas.

"What? I just went into his room that's it. Moreover, she is the one who is always stuck with him. Like you don't have to search for Darsh and her separately she is always somewhere around him licking the ground he walked", I said not knowing what I am trying to prove.

"Are you in any way jealous of a dog?", snickered Virin. Oh no, he shouldn't have gone there! You got this on yourself then. I looked at Priti who was walking behind us still chuckling. "Priti, do you know who Virin has a crush on?", I said with a triumphant smile as I saw pure horror on Virin's face.

Suddenly, I was being hugged from the side. "Ava! My God, you should have told me that Rocher was bothering you that much! It's not too late let me make an anonymous call to the animal control right now", said Virin dramatically taking out his phone.

It was my turn to snicker. He can be so cute sometimes but, it's not working. Try hard. "What is happening here? Virin has a crush? On who?", questioned Priti as Kyra gave me this knowing smile. I looked at Virin who was holding his breath.

"Its.. Your si..", I started still watching him with a brow raised and he closed my mouth and whispered, 'Congratulations, you got one year N*****x account for free', in my ear. "Crush who? Are you hearing things Priti?", I said looking confused, as Priti moved on calling us weirdos.

The four of us were walking home from the mall which is just a half-mile away. We were planning to crash at mine today. "I forgot to tell you Darsh and his family are having dinner at my place, I just saw my mum's text", I informed them waiting for the lift to come down."Hey that's cool considering he didn't come out since he fractured his hand, we could hang out", said Priti.

We settled to eat dinner after greeting everyone. It's been 6 years since Darsh's family moved in. My family got pretty close with his, as we live on the same floor. It's common for us to have meals together once a week.

"What's that sound?", asked Tara aunty as we heard raindrops pattering the window. "Darsh! I forgot to get the clothes from the balcony. Can you get them before they drench?" Asked his mother panicking.

"Tara, he has got a fractured hand", Said his father. "Yeah, let Ava go", offered my mom. "It's not that bad dad. I will go with Ava, I have to feed Rocher anyway", with that Darsh got up. My heart skyrocketed when I heard him say my name.

"Let me come with you guys", butted in Virin distracting me from my la-la land. Can this guy take a hint? I kicked him in the shin and got his attention before I whispered, "You can come with us but forget about the revenge you planned on Kyra", I used his twin rivalry as bait which made him surrender immediately. Finally! I could spend some time with him after a whole week of not seeing him.
