Chapter 17 (I killed them)

“Where are we going?” I mustered up the courage to ask him.

“It’s lunch hour. So we are going to eat lunch.”

I didn't speak from then. I just rested my back on that heaven like chair and blankly stared outside the window. If I were to be killed today, at least I’d be happy that I got to ride in a car this exquisite.

He pulled in outside a large staircase and a glass door at the end. We got out from the car and he gave his car keys to the valet.

We started stepping those stairs as I tried maintaining at least a meter distance in between us. But Gabriel being Gabriel, can’t let my view point win. He walked in close and slid his hand around my waist. I don’t know why but his presence always made me self-conscious. I started caring about my breath, wondering if I was breathing too much or not, if my lips were dry or not, if the way I walked was okay. I was conscious about everything, every movement of my body.
