Gareth's POV

I went to the guest quarter, where Briar was. The teachers didn't send her back to her dorm. They said that even her friends can't know, because if they do, a major chance of their parents getting to know about this situation was also possible, which the school authorities, at least, wanted to refrain them from knowing. Though I didn’t like the idea at all, I still had to comprehended, unwillingly.

I entered the room and saw Briar laying down on the bed, she didn't notice me coming in. Though I tiptoed to her bed, trying not to disturb her thinking she was sleeping, I accidentally made a little sound and she woke up, clenching to the sheets, which clearly showed how frightened she was. She looked at me but still her pale face didn't change.

Witnessing her in a situation like this, I felt horrible and a part of me was heating up in exasperation. Diving in an ocean of pure guilt and grieve, I hated the fact that I couldn’t keep her safe. It made me agitated and I was blamin
