"You can't leave me hanging like this. I love you, Brandon." Marian pleaded, her voice filled with desperation. "I made a mistake, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it right. Please give me another chance." Despite her plea, I knew that staying firm in my decision was the best thing for both of us.

"Do whatever you want," I said. I was walking away from her without looking back.

"Brandon.....," Marian shouted as tears streamed down her face, but I remained unmoved.

I will let her manipulation get over me again. I had learned my lesson from the past and knew that giving in to her manipulation would only lead to more heartache.
