“Uhm, you see what I see, Jill?”

I followed Cathy’s gaze behind me and saw Trevor with Sandy entering the restaurant. My face hardened for a second before I reminded myself not to feel this way because I have no right.

“Seems like the favorite couple is back, hmm?” I commented and went back eating. I saw them occupy a nearby table in the side of my vision.

“Chill, relax. Trevor already assured you that there is no romance that is going on between the two. You can breathe now, okay?” Cathy teased me.

“Cut it out, C. You know that I don’t care about them anymore. You must have taken it into a different context when I told you about the new friendship that we have forged. It’s like nothing that you’re thinking.”

I twirled the spaghetti in my plate and waited for Cathy to say anything.

“Yea, yeah. Whatever, but you know what I think? You need to convince yourself first
