Chapter 53: The Award Dinner

“Woah! You're so beautiful” Gia cussed loudly as she came over to me where I was walking down the stairs.

“Are you sure?” I asked her, suddenly feeling self conscious of the gold dress which cling to my body like a second skin.

The dress was a designer dress made by a French designer whose name was hard to pronounce.

“Woah! Victor will be speechless tonight. I wish he could pick you up” Gia was saying as I stepped down the last step and turned to take her in. She was dressed in a short golden ball gown. She looks beautiful as her hair was pulled in a chignon and pinned with a gold brooch.

“You look beautiful too” I complimented her as I turned to search for my daughter.

“Where’s Rhea?” I asked her, suddenly registering my daughter's absence in the room.

“She’s in the car with Lavelle. Come let’s go else we might be late for the party” Gia was saying to me as she rushed off to the door.
