Ch24 The Compromise

She put her phone on silent so that she would not be disturbed while doing her school work. She assumed that Grey would be headed to Kelcy Downs for the night. An hour and a half later she was done with her work. She got a quick shower, changed into some fresh clothes for the night, dried her hair, and then laid down to go to sleep. She was so exhausted that it only took her a few minutes before she was sound asleep.

The following morning Willa woke up to the sound of the rooster crowing again. She rolled over and reached for her phone on the nightstand, but it wasn’t there.
