Emma let out a deep sigh as she began to pull off her surgical clothes. Today’s surgery had been a grueling one—tough, exhausting, but ultimately successful. She had known it would be complicated, but unforeseen delays and complications had stretched the procedure far longer than expected.

Reaching for her phone, she frowned at the number of missed calls. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the name—Ms. Maryjane, Claire's teacher.

Damn it.

She quickly checked the time. She was already an hour late picking Claire up from school. Christian had mentioned earlier that he would be traveling for a business trip, meaning the responsibility was solely on her today.

She hurriedly dialed Ms. Maryjane’s number while grabbing her things, ready to rush to Claire’s school. The teacher picked up after a few rings.

“Ms. Maryjane, I’m so sorry! I just saw your missed calls. I had a major surgery today, and it ran longer than expected. I’m on my way to pick up Claire now.”

A brief pause. Then, Ms. M

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Torn Bonds

The Lawson estate was unusually quiet when David arrived. He parked his car and stepped out.Inside, Alfred greeted him with a bow and guided him toward the study where Grandpa was waiting for him.“David,” Grandpa said firmly, gesturing for him to come closer. “Sit.”David sat down. The silence stretched until Grandpa finally leaned forward.“I’ll be blunt with you,” Grandpa began. “What are your plans for Henry?”David stiffened. “My plans?” he repeated slowly, already sensing where this was going.“Yes,” Grandpa pressed. “That boy… you need to let him go. He needs to find his root.”David let out a heavy sigh and leaned back in the chair, his fingers tightening around the armrests.“Grandpa,” he said quietly, “it’s not as easy as you make it sound. I’ve raised that boy for five years. Five years! He looks at me every day and calls me daddy. How… how do you expect me to look him in the eyes and tell him that I am not his father?”Grandpa’s gaze did not soften. Instead, he shook his

David’s phone suddenly buzzed in his pocket. It was Grandpa. He stood up and stepped a little to the side as he answered the call.“David,” he heard Grandpa's firm voice, “I need you to come back now. There’s something I must speak to you about. It can’t wait.”David straightened, sensing the urgency in his tone. “Alright, I’m on my way,” he said without hesitation. He ended the call and turned toward Christian.“I have to go,” David said. “Something’s come up, and I need to handle it.”Christian looked up briefly, nodding. David then called out toward the nearby bench where Henry was sitting with Claire, both of them giggling over something she had drawn on a piece of scrap paper.“Henry,” David said, beckoning him over. “We need to leave.”Henry’s smile faded instantly. “But… I want to spend more time with Claire,” he said softly, his eyes flicking to the girl beside him.David walked over and crouched slightly so he was at Henry’s level. “I know,” he said gently, “but I need to go

“What cryptic mail?” Christian asked. “I didn’t send you any mail.”David turned his head, studying the puzzled look on Christian’s face. The man’s expression wasn’t forced—it was the kind of confusion that couldn’t be faked. It meant Christian wasn’t lying.David exhaled and looked away. “I see,” he said quietly. There was no point pressing further if Christian genuinely didn’t know.Instead, he let his gaze drift forward to where the kids were playing with his bubble toy with Claire.Christian, still waiting for David to explain more about the “cryptic mail,” kept silent when no explanation came from him. He eventually followed David’s gaze toward the playground. Neither man spoke for several seconds.David broke the silence first. Without looking at Christian, he asked, “Tell me again… whose child is Henry?”Christian’s eyes narrowed slightly. He drew in a slow breath and let it out. “He’s my late brother’s son,” Christian said at last. “Nathaniel.”David turned to look at him now,

Emma’s eyes widened when she saw blood running down David’s hand. She pushed her chair back and stood, moving toward him without a second thought.“David—”But before she could even reach for the napkin on the table, his other hand shot out and caught her wrist. His hold wasn’t rough, but it was firm enough to make her stop.He looked up at her, his gaze deep and sharp.“In your eyes,” he said slowly, “I may be an incompetent father… but Claire is my child. And I won’t let you take her away from me again.”Emma froze.“She’s my daughter too,” he went on. “She needs to be close to me. Not just for short visits or whatever you call it.”Emma’s lips parted slightly, but she didn’t speak.David’s eyes narrowed. “ And If you’re worried about Allison… or Henry… don’t be. Allison, Isabel, or any other woman—” his jaw tightened “—will never appear in front of you or cause any trouble again.”At the mention of Allison’s name, a sharp shift happened in the air. David's gaze flickered briefly, h

“So,” David began, his gaze locked on her, “is that it? Is that the only reason you refused to let me see my child? That was five years ago, Emma! I made mistakes in the past and said things I shouldn't have said… how could you still hold on to those words?”Emma blinked, her posture stiffening. Before she could reply, David reached for a stack of documents beside him and placed them on the table.“Here,” he said coldly. “All of it. Everything you and Christian did to prevent me from knowing my daughter. I hope you’re happy, Emma. I lost five golden years with my daughter… I hope you're satisfied!”The words pierced Emma’s composure. Something inside her suddenly snapped as she threw the documents to the ground without even looking at them.“You don’t have the right to yell at me or act as if all this is my fault, David!” she fired back. “What? If I hadn’t agreed to come back to New York for your son's surgery… would you have even known?!”Her voice rose with every sentence.“Emma did

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Unveiled

Emma stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself. She smoothed her blouse and took a deep breath. For days now, she had been preparing herself for this moment — a face-to-face conversation with David about Claire. No more sidestepping. No more waiting for the “right time.”This talk had been pushed aside too many times already. Ever since Allison and Isabel’s case had consumed everyone’s attention, it had been impossible to focus on anything else. Allison was still on the police’s wanted list, her face printed in newspapers and shown on late-night news reports. Isabel, on the other hand, had been sentenced to prison for attempted murder.Gradually, the chaos had faded into the background. Life was beginning to stitch itself back together. And then came the phone call from David: “We need to talk.”Emma had known right away. Before heading to meet David, she decided to stop at the hospital. Claire’s medication was running low, and Emma preferred picking it up herself. She also wan
