I got to my office the next morning, seeing my boss's office empty. Harry told me he sold the firm to some rich guy. He wasn't interested in knowing the person. Everyone was alarmed about my boss's dismissal. 

"Elena, you were with Mr. Patrick last night. What happened?" Betty, one of the coworkers asked me.

"I also don't know, Betty." I lied.

"I don't even want to know cause this is the best news. At least we're free from him now. I heard our new boss is arriving today and he's really young and hot." She says excitedly.

"I'm married, Betty. Don't think I will fall for this 'hot guy'. I roll my eyes at the thought.

"If you say so." She left me and I continued with the work on my desk.
