Chapter- 29

Ashley opened her eyes when they were driving her to the hospital. Hector was holding her hand and she heard Anne’s and Dylan’s voice from the front seat.

Ashley closed her again feeling this stinging pain. It felt like her entire right arm was burning because of that small bullet wound.

Hector placed her in the bed, and the doctor came to examine her.

“Vincent, this wound looks bad,” the doctor said looking at her hand. Ashley could hear it but she didn’t open her eyes, she finds that hard to do.

“She took the bullet which aimed at me,” Hector answered in regret.

“I see. I will put a stitch. But the scar will remain forever,” he told and put on an injection on her.

Her pain turned less as time passed and she finally opened her eyes to see Hector.

He smiled at her. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked holding her hand and she realized that he didn’t leave her hand for a single moment since she got this wound.

“I am fine,” she got up and looked at the others who are standing
