Chapter 18: Chris

Chris ran as fast as his legs could carry him without looking back. The warehouse of Reed Shane was hidden behind the forest.

Chris ran till he was tired and then sat down and leaned his back against a tree to catch his breath. He tried to ignore the pain from his chest as Reed had broken his ribs.

He touched his shoulders where he was shot and saw that he was bleeding again as they had removed the bullet from his shoulders and legs.

“ Shit ” he said and tried to stand up from the ground to continue running when he heard distance voices. They must have found out that he had escaped.

“ Find him, he mustn't have gone far ”

“ Search everywhere ”

Chris began to run again even as he was bleeding, he used his hand to cover his shoulders to prevent the blood from coming out from his open wound.
