“How are you feeling? I was worried when you didn’t answer your calls all day. I even stopped by but you weren’t home.” Phineas is the first to speak to me when I enter the class the next day. I should probably apologize to him for being a jerk the other day.

“I’m good. I just needed a break. I think I’ve been working way too hard.”

“Well, for good reason. Send me your workout routine.” Chris, Phineas’ friend from the spider subjugation, comes up behind me.

“Haha.” I say with an awkward laugh. Director Sloane would have my head if I told anyone the horrible torture she takes me through while pretending to train me.

“For real, Roman normally would have folded anyone with one hit but you withstood his palm technique.” He adds as we move to where the seats are.

“Was it something that special?” I shrug off my bag.

“There should be clips from his old fights lying around somewhere.” Chris brings out his phone, searching for something.
