LOGINLilith's POV.
Another day, another hours of cleaning and scrubbing. I moved from the laundry to the floors, then to the furniture, wiping and scrubbing, making everything spotless in a house that had never once felt like home. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I paused just for a moment. Then straightened slowly, wiping my hands against my skirt before making my way toward the door. The moment I pulled the door open, I froze. Alpha Oliver stood before me. For a second, everything else disappeared, my gaze locked onto him, my mind struggling to reconcile the image in front of me with the one I had seen just hours before. He was standing, fully upright and strong. There was no trace of the weakness I had witnessed, no sign of the man who had been barely breathing in my arms. “Alpha…” The word left my lips before I could stop it, my body instinctively stepping back. But I barely had time to process anything, because suddenly... I was shoved hard. My body stumbled sideways, my shoulder hitting the wall as Nora pushed past me with a force that made it clear she hadn’t cared whether I fell or not. “Move,” she snapped under her breath, not even sparing me a glance as she stepped forward, her expression softening instantly as she stood in front of the alpha. “Alpha Oliver,” her tone was entirely different from the one she had just used on me. “What an unexpected honor.” I steadied myself slowly, my hand pressing briefly against the wall as I tried to regain my balance. “Go back to what you were doing,” Nora added over her shoulder, casting me a death glare. There’s no reason for you to stand here.” Before I could say anything else, another voice cut me off immediately. “My Alpha!” It was father. He appeared almost instantly, beaming all smiles. “It is truly an honor to have you here,” he continued, stepping forward quickly. “If I had known you were coming, I would have prepared a proper reception.” I stood there watching the whole thing unfold, but it wasn't long before his gaze shifted to me. “Why are you still standing there?” he snapped, the earlier warmth in his voice vanishing instantly, replaced by irritation. “Go to the kitchen and finish cleaning, then take care of the laundry. Do not linger here like you have nothing to do.” My throat tightened. “Yes, father,” I murmured, lowering my gaze as I turned to leave. “Wait.” A softer voice suddenly stopped me on my track, my heart stuttering slightly in my chest as I turned back slowly, unsure whether I had imagined it. But I hadn’t. His gaze was on me. “Is she the house girl?” he asked. For a brief moment, no one spoke, then my father laughed lightly, though there was nothing amused in it. “No,” he replied quickly, shaking his head. “She is my daughter.” “Though,” he added quickly. “She is beneath even a maid in this house. A complete disgrace, one I have yet to find a proper way to rid myself of.” The words settled into my chest so hard, I felt my eyes blur with tears but I held on strongly, refusing to let it spill. “Please, ignore her,” he continued, turning his attention back to the Alpha as though I had already ceased to exist. “Now, tell me, what brings you here? It must be regarding my beautiful daughter, Nora.” My heart dropped hearing him speak. “Nora has always been exceptional,” he went on, his voice filled with pride now, something I have never once heard directed at me. "Beautiful and admired by all. She brings nothing but honor to this family.” Nora smiled softly, lowering her gaze just enough to appear modest, though the satisfaction in her expression was unmistakable. “Unlike…” my father’s voice dipped slightly, his gaze flicking toward me for the briefest moment before dismissing me entirely, “others.” "You have my full support to go on with Nora, my Alpha." Support? Didn't I just catch Nora and Xavier in bed two nights ago? They claimed to be in love, why is she suddenly moving towards the alpha? And father is in full support. There was silence for a little while, then alpha Oliver suddenly cleared his throat. “I came for Lilith.” The world stopped, literally. My breath caught against my throat, my body going completely still as my mind struggled to process what I had just heard. For a moment, I thought I imagined it, I had to have, because there was no way... No possible way the Alpha of the pack had just said my name. “I’m sorry?” my father said after a pause. “I came for Lilith,” Alpha Oliver repeated. Silence fell again, and then suddenly, my father laughed. “That is not possible,” he said, shaking his head as though dismissing a ridiculous joke. “There must be some misunderstanding. You cannot mean her.” My fingers trembled slightly at my sides. “I do,” Alpha Oliver replied simply. The finality in his voice made seemed to shut father up for a few seconds before he regained his composure. “She is not even worthy to stand in the same room as you,” father continued quickly. “Whatever you are looking for, you will not find it in her.” “I already have,” the Alpha said. Something inside me stirred, this will be the first time someone is standing with me against father. “Lilith,” father snapped suddenly, turning toward me with a hard glare, as though my mere presence had become inconvenient again. “Leave this room immediately.” My body reacted immediately, my feet beginning to move... “Stop.” Alpha Oliver's voice stopped me on the spot, and before I could process anything further... He closed the distance between us, and his hand reached for mine. "You can't leave when I'm here for you, young woman." “Nora is the better choice, Alpha, nothing in Lilith worth your your attention,” Father insisted. "I'll suggest you don't question my choice for your own good, and this isn't a romantic visitation or marriage request, why are you making me choose between your two daughters? I just simply want to talk to Lilith." Alpha Oliver snapped at him. "And you should know I don't tolerate bullies, so you better speak to Lilith more respectfully or things will get ugly real quick." Then without another word, he tightened his hold on my hand, and pulled me forward. “Come with me,” I hesitated for a second. Because behind me... I could feel their angry stares digging a hole in my skin. And in front of me... For the first time, someone had stood up for me. My fingers tightened slightly around his, and I stepped forward. Leaving everything else behind and followed him out.Lilith's POV.“You don’t need to go back there,” Alpha Oliver's voice snapped me out of my trance. “I’ll have everything you need brought here.”For a moment, I just stared at him.Because I didn’t understand how someone could say something like that so easily… as though cutting ties with everything I had ever known, even if it was pain, was something simple... Life must have been so great for him.“You don’t understand,” I said quietly, shaking my head as I pushed myself up from the chair, my fingers curling slightly at my sides. “They are still my family. I can’t just leave them like that." His expression didn’t change much, but something in his eyes softened… just slightly. "So much for being your family with what I witnessed them do to you today."That made something twist painfully in my chest. “I know,” I murmured. “But it’s not that simple." I exhaled slowly, trying to find the right words, trying to make him understand something I wasn’t even sure I fully understood myself. “
Lilith's POV.I did not understand what was happening.Alpha Oliver did not let go of my hand, not even for a tiny second. The further we moved from my home and deeper into the pack, the more noticeable we'd become; People stared openly, their gazes flickering between him and me with obvious disapproval.“Is that… Lilith?”“Why is she with the Alpha?”“Since when..."She better not jinx him with her curse.."The whispers kept following us as we walked, my instinct screaming at me to pull my hand away and run off but his grip remained tight.Shortly afterwards, the Alpha's mansion came into view; he actually brought me to his house?I had never been here before.I had seen it, of course, from a distance, and now, I'm walking towards it. The gate was opened immediately we stepped closer like they could sense the alpha close.I swallowed hard, my gaze lowering instinctively as we crossed into the mansion, my fingers tightening slightly within his grasp. We didn't stop, not even in the l

Lilith's POV.How did he get involved with those bad guys? And why did they want him dead? “Alpha Oliver" I called in a low voice. His body lay cold still. For a moment, fear gripped me so tightly I couldn’t move or think; I couldn’t do anything but stare at him in horror as the reality of the situation settled in.How can Alpha Oliver be reduced to this? Someone must have set him up, because he's one of the most strongest Alpha in the history of werewolf clans, there's no way those men could have taken him down fairly. My hands trembled as I reached out, hesitating just before touching him as though afraid that doing so would confirm the worst. But then I pressed my fingers lightly against his shoulder.“Alpha Oliver…?” My voice shook, barely audible as I leaned closer. “Can you hear me…?”There was no response and panic flared in my chest.I shook him slightly, my grip tightening despite the fear coursing through me.“Please…” I whispered, my voice cracking. “Please don’t be dead…
Lilith's POV."Nora is such a beauty to behold, take a look at her dress, it must have cost a fortune," "She's such a little princess," I stood by the corner of our living room, listening to the group of girls drool over my sister; it was her birthday and of course, our father hosted the fanciest birthday party just like he always did every year. I was genuinely happy for her; for such affection she procured from our father, but as much as I tried so hard to stay that way, I couldn't help the cold jolt of pain that surged through me as the image of the loneliness I was subjected to during my own birthday flashed through my head. Pushing the haunting thoughts to the back of my head, I exhaled deeply and walked fully into the room; the least I could do was enjoy the party anyway, it was shocking that I was allowed to attend this time, other times, I was either locked away in my room till the party was over or made to watch from a hidden corner."And here comes the cursed wretch," th
