Amalthea's POV

"What do you want?" I asked in a small shaky voice as the werebears drew nearer.

"We've been looking for you for a long time Amalthea, the alpha will be very pleased," one of them told me and my heart beat loudly in my chest.

"We can't go with them," Lux called out to me.

"We aren't strong enough to fend them off either," I pointed out.

"I'd rather fight to the death than follow these beasts anywhere," Lux growled in response.

I tried to calm myself and remember all that I had learnt all this time with Jade and Mikayla whenever we trained. This is what I've been training for, for a chance to protect myself.

I assessed the werebears one last time before I lunged at the one that looked the least threatening catching them off guard before I dashed away. I didn't get very far though as one of them yanked me by the hair and dragged me back, the werebear sneered at me before he smacked me across the face and sent me to the floor.
