Amalthea's POV "Are you alright, does anything hurt?" I asked as I stared at Mira with wide eyes. I was unsure what to do and I looked around but somehow, there was no one else nearby. This was bad, this was worse than bad."We need to get to the clinic now," she told me as she wobbled forward. I placed my arm around her waist trying to give her support as we made our way back.Mira groaned as we approached the clinic and clung to my shoulder as though her life depended on it."Come on, we are almost there. Just a little further," I encouraged as she stopped walking and let out huffs of breath."No I can't, I can feel the baby coming." She announced and pure fear gripped me."Mira, you can do it alright? Come on let's go." I encouraged and pulled her against me as she slumped."Can you help?" I called out to one of the men passing but he just stared at me wearily before he walked pass us. Couldn't he see we needed help?
Amalthea's POV "She's here to fulfill the prophecy," I heard someone whisper from behind me and I turned back to stare at the two women shamelessly staring at me. "She's pretty, I'll give her that." The other woman said and my cheeks heated in embarrassment and I turned away from them. What the hell were they saying and why were they talking about me?"Is she really one...a primodial?" I heard one of the women ask and I went deadly still. How had they heard about that?I stared at the book shelf with faux interest as I tried my best to capture all their words."The only thing which seems off is the white hair, she seems pretty normal to me." One of them said,"If she is a primordial, she has a lot coming her way. One can only wonder how she'll handle it." The women sighed and I turned back to them and our eyes met. The woman's eyes widened and her and her friend made to turn away from me but I approached them."Hello,"
Amalthea's POV "I told you they weren't to be trusted Thea, I warned you." Lux growled within me and I let out a sigh."How was I meant to know Lux? We needed a place to stay, shelter over our heads." I retorted but she growled at me. Lux was angry and didn't want to listen anything I had to say even though I had admitted she had been right.I was still rattled by Clara's words an I didn't know exactly what to make of it, all I knew was that I was scared out of my mind and I had to take Clara's advice and leave as soon as I possibly could."I'm going out for a run, lux has been itching to be let out all day." I informed Clara as I passed by the kitchen. Out eyes met and held but all she gave me was a nod before I turned and made my way out of the pack house. I was unsure how to act around Clara nowz knowing what she had told me, knowing they were probably making plans to hurt me but everything was still vague and unclear. Was alpha Hunter handing
Amalthea's POV "Well hello there little Aria," I smiled down at the grinning girl at the foot of my bed."Do you want to read with me?" I asked as I pointed at the pregnancy book I had been reading. Aria kept on grinding as though she was shy and when she didn't make any move to leave, I raised her and placed her beside me on the bed. As I scanned the book, I was both thrilled and terrified by the changes my body would experience all through this pregnancy."Baby," the girl giggled as she pointed at a picture of a new born baby in the book. Nausea clawed at me as I recalled the vivid pictures on how the baby would come out of my womb and I was beyond appalled, I wasn't so sure I could do this after all."Where's your mum?" I asked Aria softly."In the kitchen preparing your broth," she informed me before she leaped off the bed and ran out. Aria was an unusual yet sweet little girl, Clara was lucky to have her and I couldn't help but
Nicholson's POV "What is the meaning of this?" I growled as I glared at the council members standing before me."You have been out of line for far too long Alpha," one of them told me and anger coursed through me."What do you mean?" I curled a brow at them and they looked among themselves almost as if they were deciding who would be the sacrificial lamb."What we are trying to say is that you've neglected this pack for the last few weeks, people are beginning to ask questions they want to know what's going on with their alpha and those who live in the pack house along with the servants are talking," the oldest among them said."You have been a mess and quite frankly it's disgraceful to see an alpha act this way over a woman, his breeder at that-" the man continued and before I could reign Dax in, he broke free and took over and in the second I had the man by his neck.I heard the muffled gasps from the other members of the coun
Callum's POV "Why do you look pale?" I asked and Mikayla turned to me, startled."Were you spying on me?" Mikayla questioned as she placed her phone into her pocket."That seemed like an important call," I noted."What did you hear?" Her eyes shone with fear before she could mask it and I knew I was on to something."Was it something I wasn't meant to hear?" I quirked a brow."It was nothing Callum," she sighed as she tried to play it cool but I could see her calculating eyes trying to decipher just how much I had heard."What are you doing here?" She asked as I closed the library door behind me."Do I need special permission to visit the library?" I quirked a brow at her and she looked away from me."You never come in here Callum, unless you want to talk, so what is it you want to talk about?" She inquired and my fists clenched at how cold her demeanor was.How had I missed it? The cold, calc
