Amalthea's POV

I was giddy with excitement as I squeezed a generous amount of bath gel and rubbed around my body. I knew most of the excitement was emanating from my wolf, Lux, but I couldn't help but feel it as well.

My wolf...it still felt surreal to believe I finally had a wolf and in a few minutes I would meet my mate as well.

"Well better believe it." Lux said within me and I grinned.

Maybe this wouldn't be a bad birthday after all. Things were looking promising and it was only the start of the day. I took my time in the shower and put on a pretty sky blue dress which complimented my eyes and flowed down in soft waves from my waist. I smiled at my dresser, showcasing my dimples and I had to admit, I looked pretty good. I had a glow about me which I knew had everything to do with Lux. Satisfied with my new look, I unbolted my door and made my way out of the room as Lux became more restless to meet her mate.

I slowly sat up from my head and stilled when I realized Nic's footsteps had stopped right in front of my door. My wolf perked at the realization and my heart beat loudly within me. Would he come in to claim me and mark me as his mate?
