Chapter 17. The Lowest Point

I thought the events I experienced some time ago were a mere dream. The pain centered on my vital organs was proof that I really experienced sexual harassment and physical violence.

I don't know how long I was unconscious. When I regained consciousness, the sky had darkened. My face looked up, staring at the expanse of the night sky with millions of stars showing off their light.

My mother once told me not to worry about anything because she would always be beside me. She once said that when she dies, her soul will join the stars.
