Chapter 100. Truly in Her Eyes

GABRIEL P.O.V.

I paused for a moment to watch my troublesome cousin. An infuriating smile spread across his lips – a smile that was all too familiar to me. It wasn't hard to imagine the devious soul that surrounded him. He must have a hidden agenda.

“Yo… Gabriel.” Alex raised his martini glass haughtily, as if alcohol were the source of true wisdom.

I could only grunt rudely in response. Sitting on the single sofa next to him, I tried to absorb the moment. Despite our contentious relationship, there was a certain satisfaction in watching Alex sip his drink with style.

“Drinking alcohol knows no time,” Alex said, as if explaining his philosophy of life. A spoon flew toward him, and he caught it brilliantly with reflexes. His cunning mind was always on alert.
