BraxI laid there watching her walk away, not being able to do anything because of the pain I was in I have never felt anything like it before. Not even the first time i shifted into a wolf. Every inch of my body screamed in pain. I felt our bond break. I have no idea why, though, and this pain was nothing like the pain I felt when I broke my bond with my first mate. Blair The last thing I remember was telling everyone to leave, and everything went black. I don't think I want to know what happened. But I feel different like some kind of evil is inside me now. We're going back to Braxs pack today; everyone agreed I couldn't stay where I was, and I couldn't go home. When I woke up, the room was darker than it had been when I fell asleep. I looked over at the time, seeing it was midnight. My stomach growled with hunger, so I got up to see if I could find the kitchen. I walked the halls, trying to be quiet in case anyone was sleeping. I walked for what felt like hours when it was around ten minutes. I was just about to give up hope and come to terms with the fact I was lost when I heard voices having a heated conversation. One of the voices belonged to Brax, the other voice I didn't recognise. I locked myself away in my room for weeks, reading book after book one, all things magical, only ever leaving to get more books or eat. I stayed away from Brax as best I could. I could tell every time I ran from him, it hurt him, but I wasn't ready to talk to him yet or even be near him. I needed to learn more about myself first before I worried about what was going on between me and him. I did find a few things in the book Of a Girl that was half wolf and half witch. Most of those books just left me with more questions than I started with, so whenever I found a book with it in it, I'd put it to the side with the others for me to return to another time. The book that had called to me when I went back to get more books it was gone, which I was disappointed by, but I didn't give it much thought.I've grown to like Eve. After I'd cooled off in a nice cold shower, I got dressed and made my way downstairs to go and join Brax for dinner, as he asked. Walking into the dining room, I found Brax standing by the table, looking nervous. I went with Eve, who helped me tend to my wounds before showering. I was nervous about talking to Brax about what I had just learned. But I knew I had to find out the truth about him. With my strong feelings for him, I need to learn more about him before I fall harder and possibly end up hurt.Making my way back into the dining room to find Eve waiting for me; she led me down to his office, opening the door for me to go inside. I stood there for a second; a part of me wished she could come with me. Taking a deep breath, I go in. Standing there staring at it, I can tell he knows I'm confused about why he has that book. Before either of us speak, he places the book on the table, pushing it towards me.
