AMERIE

"How about this dress?" Miley asked, a long black dress in hands. We were in the middle of shopping dresses for the charity event.

Finally, the chaos died down and we can go for shopping because I didn't have any formal dress for the event. But of course, we couldn't leave the territory.

I looked at the dress. It was in classic style with short sleeves which enveloped my body perfectly. Nothing to show except the upper chest to the neck.

It was definitely Matthew's style.

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 50 - Having Fun Together

AMERIEI finally met Audrey, Paul's mate. She looked as fragile as I had imagined.I didn't mean it negatively, okay? I had learned about her suffering and pictured how it affected her. She was thin in a less healthy way, scars were still visible on her wrist, and the worst was the light in her eyes. It shone dimly, as if it were just coming to life after a long darkness. And I couldn't help but feel sorry for her.Luckily, I had teamed with Miley. We decided to support and cheer her up, and filling up her wardrobe was one of them. The three of us had our fun trying on all the clothes. Well, it was actually only Audrey as we pushed her to do so. But her face lit up whenever she put on those clothes, so it couldn't be called a forceful act, right?"I heard that you were a hairstylist," I said after we finished the clothes and were enjoying our snack time in the living room. Luna Isabel and the elder had gone to visit a school."Yes. I worked in a salon."

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 49 - Moving into a New House

AUDREYI couldn't believe that my world twisted so quickly. From normal life to suffering, then... what was this? It was beyond normal as my life was now associated to the elites.Sometimes, it felt surreal to the point that I was afraid to think about my future. What if it flipped again? How would I take it then? However, life must go on, mustn't it? So did mine. I had to go with fate the Goddess threw at me, including Paul and anything related to him and us. He decided that I moved to the prepared house the next morning. How about Paul?Well, we hadn't discussed it yet. So I had no choice but to live in that house alone. At least, it was my thought when I left my former room to follow Paul. And I thought that there would be none except the house and its furniture only to be stunned by the people in front of it.Paul must have spotted my nervousness because he grabbed my hand, stroke it, and uttered, "Don't worry. They're here to welcome us."Of course, I was worried because two Alph

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 48 - Meeting with the Alphas

PAULI couldn't stop my heart from beating wildly the moment Matthew informed that Alpha Harold, the Council's representative, asked to see and talk to me and Audrey. What did he need from us? I had reported everything to the Alpha, which he must have told the Council. Now, what?I went straight to Audrey's room as soon as I arrived at the southeast and knocked her door. "It's me, Paul." I announced myself and got her reply immediately."Come in."I opened the door and was stunned at the doorway. Audrey was wearing a white dress which made her look so pretty."W-What?" The question left her plump lips, pink coloring her cheeks at finding me only stare at her in my place."You're so beautiful."A shy smile appeared on her face as it became redder with blushes. "They sent me this dress and asked me to wear it while meeting the Council."I would note something. This didn't mean that the Alpha provided her inappropriate clothes. In fact, he ordered us to treat her nicely and give her warm

MATTHEW"Are you sure they work alone?" It was Danny's question during a video call with the Alpha Circle. I had been talking to them since the first day of the attack to share and get insight about my pack's situation."My men couldn't find any other rogues' traces in the neutral forest." I replied. "No one as well, right?" Who I meant was During, Tyler, and Carlo as they also informed me about the similar updates."Right.""My warriors are scouting the forest everyday. But nothing suspicious.""And we got no abnormal report from the city."All of the three added to my sentences in turn. There was no attack in their packs, making mine the only one at the time."Should I send my men to help you?" This was from Eliot. His pack and Jayden's suffered greatly from rogues attack at near their area. However I shook my head. "There are Zurin and the others. For now, they should be enough for the help." Not that I declined his kindness. I just thought that it was still manageable to us."Okay

It was good, but was too be old for modern times.I shook my head, slightly grimacing. "Don't you think we should follow the era?" I threw a question instead. She looked at the dress one again, nodded, and said, "Yeah. It's a bit old. But Matt loves old things."To which I responded quickly. "He doesn't know fashion. He won't understand that people love simplicity and many cuts." And mini dresses. However, mini dresses were clearly i

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 45 - Bradley and Audrey

AUDREY"I have to return to the central area. I won't be here for lunch and can't visit you during the day. But I promise I will come again at night."It was what Paul said at our breakfast this morning. He had work to do and couldn't leave it for long, moreover, in this situation. Even if it was normal day, he had many responsibilities on his shoulders.I inhaled deeply only to exhale heavily. Was I disappointed?Well, I wouldn't deny it. A part of me wanted him to be here with me.'He is a Beta, Audrey.' Tea reminded me in my head. 'And he promises to return to us, doesn't he?'Another heavy sigh and I uttered, 'I know.''He's not Steven. He can't leave his previous life for us.' She said again, causing my mind to travel back to the days Steven and I met each other. It was like nothing more important than us so Steven willingly moved to my pack less than a month later. However, Paul was clearly different. I was told since childhood that the pack's ruler was the bone of its people li

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 23 - Marriage and Being the Luna

AMERIEI knew something was wrong since the first day I had been here. It wasn't about Matthew, his family, his people, or this place. It was about the circumstances. Rogue is never a light issue for any pack. And I was aware that it was escalating for the worse when Matthew left me this afternoon.

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 18 - The Sister

AMERIEThe third day of my stay at this pack, I finally met Miley, Matthew's sister. She had returned from her vacation after leaving the pack for a week."I hear about you from Mom." It was Miley's first words when we faced each other in the dining area the next morning. "I didn't beli

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 14 - The Fight

AMERIEI know. I know.I shouldn't have accepted his offer, however tempting it was. But perhaps, as two broken souls, we needed each other to share the pains and mend the cracks. Or it might be as simple as I needed a male to remove Jim and Brandon completely from my life.Or maybe I truly wanted

  • Luna by Contract   Chapter 12 - A New Offer

AMERIE"What do you think about this, Amy?" Luna Isabel walked closer with a red dress in her hands. It was a long lace dress with short arms, and even though it was red, it didn't look bold or intimidating at all. It's more of a sweet, red long dress."That looks good, Luna. But don't you think I
