“Sy, are you sure about this?” I wring my hands after handing Dre over to her. “The two of them can be a handful. Les runs interference just as well as any of my regular guards could. I can see her fingertips out of the corner of my eye when she spreads her arms wide. Mercy pulls her hand away and grabs Leticia’s wrist, yanking her forward. Her teeth and claws fully extend. Leticia tries to move back, but Mercy has a firm grip, piercing her claws into Leticia’s skin. Mercy is a Beta female. Her features are larger and more pronounced than unranked wolves.
