LOGINTwo...another twist...because yes. *winks*
Neriah POVI have everything composed. I asked Ambrose to call Monte to my room. Then we will head out to the vans.Five minutes later, Monte knocks on my door. When he comes in, I hand him the USB drive.“No matter who wins, this video plays.”“Yes, Luna,” Monte said, but his eyes also looked like he was debating whether to tell me something.“What is it?” I asked.“I heard Jemisha paying one of the tech guys. She has a USB, too.”Ambrose growled. I laughed. Then they both looked at me like I was crazy.“Guaranteed, she has footage of Bruno in that hallway.”Ambrose then said, “Monte, get the full video of what happened in that hallway.”“Understood.”“We are going to play the full footage after she plays hers. Then once that is cleared up, we are going to play all of her…indiscretions.”Monte started laughing. “You two are ruthless. Tell me that prick Silas is getting his comeuppance, too.”“Right after Jemisha gets her,” I said.“Man, I’m going to have buckets of popcorn ready for
Neriah POVIt’s morning. I know we have to get to the vans outside by ten. It’s seven now. I got up, freshened up, and changed into hiking clothes. I’m more worried about today’s round than anything else going on right now. I have my evidence in place for Silas and Jemisha. It’s a good thing they are paired up today.I started making myself some eggs and toast. There were also ham steaks in the fridge. I decided a protein-rich meal was in order, especially since today’s round will involve a lot of physical activity. As I was cooking, I heard Ambrose knocking at the connecting door. I ignored it and kept doing what I was doing in the kitchen. Screw him.“Neriah, please talk to me,” I heard from the other side of the door.“I’m busy,” I called out.“Two minutes. Please,” he pleaded.‘What do you think, Nila?’She scoffed. ‘It better be good.’I sighed. I turned off the two-burner stove and opened the door. When I did, I saw Ambrose on his knees, looking down, and holding up a USB drive.
Neriah POVAmbrose is still angry about Bruno, but I am not saying anything. However, Silas completely humiliating Jemisha a moment ago did lift my spirit. I suffered way more injustice than an insulting comment in my life. Jemisha at least walked away without making a scene. I am not going to ask her how she is feeling. I know what she is feeling. It’s the same feeling I felt after all the times she put me through hell. I can’t muster one fuck to give her.Does that make me harsh? Probably. I still do not care, though. I would only feel bad if it was someone who never harmed me growing up. Jemisha was my biggest source of pain growing up; followed by my father and Regina.“Damn, Alpha Silas. That was a bit mean, don’t you think?” Bryce asked.“You saw what I saw. Am I wrong?”“Then why did you pick her?” Josie asked.“She begged me to pick her. I relented. It was a terrible choice.”Ambrose finally spoke up. “You will have to work with her tomorrow, now that you have made it into the
Jemisha POVThat bitch Neriah is unharmed again. I swear she is luckier than a leprechaun holding a four-leaf clover. I pulled Bruno aside when I saw him. I carefully insinuated that Neriah was a slut and would spread her legs for any man who paid her even a fraction of attention.I knew about his reputation because I read the tabloids. Tabloids Neriah never had access to, which meant she was in the dark about Bruno’s behavior. I saw Bruno again after the round ended and told him Neriah had gone to the bathroom alone. He gave me that sick grin of his and nodded before walking in that direction to wait for his prey. Not only did Neriah come out unscathed by scandal; she also was not ruined by Bruno. To make matters even more frustrating, Prince Ambrose escorted her to the van, and he is sitting here with us, which means I cannot start turning public opinion on Neriah with Josie.“Prince Ambrose, shouldn’t you be in the other van?” I asked sweetly.“No,” he said abruptly. I could see his
Neriah POVAfter the round and show concluded, Jace and Tyrus both left without the Luna they wanted. They wanted the same woman, too. Poor Christine. She was embarrassed on live TV. When we left the studio, I heard her crying in the bathroom.“Christine?” I called out.She came out of the stall. “Neriah, I’m fine. Really.”It was clear I didn’t believe her. I pulled her in for a hug. “I’m sorry that happened to you.”As soon as I said that, she burst into tears again. “Is there something wrong with me?” she asked.“Oh, Goddess, no. I heard a saying once. ‘You may not be every man’s cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean every man is your shot of whiskey’,” I recited.Christine laughed bitterly. “I guess you are right. I liked Jace, though. He didn’t like me. I’m feeling kind of vulnerable right now.”Natalie walked into the bathroom at that moment. She looked calm, but saw Christine’s puffy eyes.“Girl, do not cry over a man that wouldn’t cry over you. Tyrus and Jace are not worth your tea
Ambrose POVNeriah has been ogling me for most of the day. I keep catching her staring, and I have to admit, it makes me happy. We have come a long way from where we started. I think as soon as this competition is over, we are going to have one hell of a night completing our bond.We are up next to fight, and I am curious to see how strong she is. I know she is strong mentally and emotionally, after everything I have witnessed her go through with her useless family; I have no doubt. Physically, though, I haven’t seen her fight. Silas tried to force a mark, and I had to throw him off of her, so I am nervous about this round, not for me, but for her safety.‘We protect our mate!’ Kral warned.‘Without question,’ I assured my wolf. When we get back from commercial break, Neriah and I shake Jace and Christine’s hands. I let them know that whatever happens, we are all winning. Neriah and I don’t need cheap tricks. I know she wants to go to the finals and ruin Jemisha and Silas. I don’t know
