'Before you say anything, I want you to know that Azalea's life is in my hands right now. If you try anything funny, she's going to die,' Ria said to me through telepathy.

When my gaze met hers, I knew she meant every word. Diverting my gaze back to Kiara, who appeared frustrated, I rose to my feet.

'You can let Kiara know about our deal. If you do, you will be putting Azalea's life in danger,' Ria continued, her gaze stern. Only at this point did I realize that all along, I'd been playing her own game. It was clear that she had me wrapped around her little finger. Using my own weakness to her advantage, she had a tight grip on me.

"Go ahead, your majesty. She wants to know the truth," Ria stated.

"Stay out of this," Kiara said to her, unable to hide her growing anger.
