“I know,” I said.

It was perhaps an act of selfishness to cry this way. I knew that one day she would have to leave to be with her other half. I was aware that being so far apart was causing her great heartache.

I knew she had to say goodbye.

Recovering from the death of a loved one was never simple, but everything was complicated a little more when a war came over you. I did not have time to deal with the pain of her death. Not even to deal with the mark on my neck that bothered me more and more everyday. I only spent my days buried in my office, looking for any existing solution.

Time was running out and I was stuck in the same situation as two months ago. I could not find anything, not even a track that brought me mental peace.

Hunter was the only one who managed to get me out of there, feed me, make sure he rested for a couple of hours, and train me. Donovan had finished his training a couple of days ago, so he had more time to recite me in the office.
