Violet POV

My momentary shocked stillness snapped when I watched him go inside the house. “What?” I wailed.

He didn’t reply to me as he watched Mimzy coming out of Dave’s room. Mimzy appeared shocked, but she suppressed it instantly and gave a smile to Alpha Dane. “Hey Mimzy, how was your day?” he said to her charmingly. She blushed to the roots. And Mimzy had never blushed. Not at least in my presence.

Tucking a strand of her curly dark hair, she said, “I am well, Mr. Llyod.” She gave me a knowing glance and winked. “Dave is sleeping. See you tomorrow.” She collected her purse and keys from the long table at the entrance and left, closing the door behind her.

“What are you doing here?” I hissed at Dane, clenching my fists.
