Ruth’s Pov

THREE YEARS LATER

“Why are they fighting, mummy?” my three years daughter asks, looking through my wedding album.

“Aunty Sandra and Emily were fighting for mama’s bouquet,” I respond kindly and she giggles, making my heart beat faster. My daughter is the most beautiful daughter even though she can be naughty sometimes.

“Why do they fight over flowers, they can just come and pick some from the garden here,” she shrugs, turning the page, the photo I see next makes me smile, this is when we were making our escape.

“Well, it is said that whosoever catches it, will soon get married,” I inform her.

“So, who caught the bouquet?”

“Honestly, it was a war in there and we still don’t know however, they all got married to their mates.”

She grins and eats her cookie.

“I’ll marry James,” she says proudly and I chuckle.

“James is your cousin, Racheal,” I remind her again. She scowls but only for a little while before her face lights up.

“Oh, yea… Then I chose David.”

    Ruth's POV I gazed lovingly at my daughter, Rachel, cradled in my arms. Seven months of pregnancy had flown by, and now, as I held my little miracle, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and responsibility.     I was talking to Gabriel, Sandra and Davidson when I saw Vincent. I gasp and smile at him, he bows to me and kisses my check politely. “Congratulations, Mrs Micheal,” he says. “Thank you, how are you?” He didn’t answer and I change the topic, making my heart ache for him. After talking to the Alpha, my mate circles his arms around my waist and pulls me to the dance floor where he twirls me and kisses my lips deeply, our tongues fight for control and it makes the crowd react with cheers and howls. Soft music plays and we dance to it. I listen to the lyrics of the song and smile, it says, When I thought I’ve lost you, see how fate brought us together, I promise never to let you go my love.” After we dance to almost all the songs, there is a Fireworks display and people clap once again , excited. He wraps his arms around my waist.“I miss you,” he breathes, I caress his face and he takes me to his car. Davidson drives us to his penthouse in the city and the drive is silent. He is drinking his whiskey directly from the bottle while I watch the beautiful scenery of the city. This part of the city was meant to be part of the royal pack but my brother made it neutral ground when he took over as a king, a place where Lycans from the different packs can be without any kind of violence.We reach the building and go straight to his lavish apartment, it's neat as I remember with white and gray furniture.
