Ruth's POV I watched Rachel grow, her curiosity and energy filled my heart with joy. She'd chase after butterflies, laugh at the simplest things and snuggle into our arms for comfort. Ruth's POV I gazed lovingly at my daughter, Rachel, cradled in my arms. Seven months of pregnancy had flown by, and now, as I held my little miracle, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and responsibility. Michael, my mate, sat beside me, his eyes shining with adoration as he stroked Rachel's tiny hand. "You're an amazing mother, Ruth. Our daughter is lucky to have you." Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. I vowed to create a better future for Rachel, one free from the pain and abandonment I'd faced. My thoughts drifted to my own childhood, and the complicated relationships with my parents. Dad's words, spoken on my wedding day, echoed in my mind: "If you hurt my daughter, I'll tie you to a tree and cut your balls." His gruff demeanor hid a deep love, but the past still lingered. I was talking to Gabriel, Sandra and Davidson when I saw Vincent. I gasp and smile at him, he bows to me and kisses my check politely. “Congratulations, Mrs Micheal,” he says. “Thank you, how are you?” He didn’t answer and I change the topic, making my heart ache for him. After talking to the Alpha, my mate circles his arms around my waist and pulls me to the dance floor where he twirls me and kisses my lips deeply, our tongues fight for control and it makes the crowd react with cheers and howls. Soft music plays and we dance to it. I listen to the lyrics of the song and smile, it says, When I thought I’ve lost you, see how fate brought us together, I promise never to let you go my love.” After we dance to almost all the songs, there is a Fireworks display and people clap once again , excited. Sandra’s povI could hear the thumping of my heart, his delicious scent enveloped me, I missed him a lot. He was away for weeks so we couldn’t be together and I’m glad to see him. He wraps his arms around my waist.“I miss you,” he breathes, I caress his face and he takes me to his car. Davidson drives us to his penthouse in the city and the drive is silent. He is drinking his whiskey directly from the bottle while I watch the beautiful scenery of the city. This part of the city was meant to be part of the royal pack but my brother made it neutral ground when he took over as a king, a place where Lycans from the different packs can be without any kind of violence.We reach the building and go straight to his lavish apartment, it's neat as I remember with white and gray furniture. Ruth’s Pov My mate lifts me in his arms, and I hold him closer, I felt a sense of guilt after seeing all the bruises on Cynthia’s body but she deserves it because she has no regards for me.
