NICHOLAS’s POV.

Finally, I see her fragile figure walking up the alley towards her house, an airpod stuck to her ear and her attention on her phone.

I have been waiting for her for quite some time now and luckily she is back.

I have an inkling that whatever she is looking at in her phone is somewhat related to her love interest and it makes me all giddy with excitement.

Looking at her, I can’t help but wonder what she loves so much about that bastard. That same bastard that I want to kill and send back to the moon goddess.

After a while, she comes to a halt in front of me and her forehead creases into a frown when she sees me.

Removing the AirPod from her ear, a scowl also appears on her face.

“You? What are you doing here?”

“Hmmm, this is where you live?” I ask her, “isn’t it too simple for someone working with Avanti?”

“I asked you a question Mr woodsborn” Maria rolls her eyes, “what are you doing here and how did you find my house?”
