MALACHI’s POV. I had just finished setting the table for dinner when she walks back into the house looking a bit dejected and tired. I don’t bother asking her what’s wrong because I already know what happened. Seeing her like this breaks my heart. She didn’t say anything for two days and In those two days, it felt like my whole life came to a standstill. She was in pain and I couldn’t do anything about that. It made me feel incapable and unable to take care of my woman. I even tried to escape last night but I was hurt because of how weak my body is.
