Party

Daisy, with the last bit of energy left in her, fought with all her might, until she collapsed on the ground.

Ella, seeing Daisy on the ground, immediately ran to her. All the officials and other colleagues also gather around her. 

When Ella sat on the floor, trying to wake her up. The chief ordered immediately, “Call the doctor.” 

It was only then, that Ella noticed Daisy is not breathing. She, with a trembling hands, checked her breathing and said with tears in her eyes, “She is no more.”

All the employees were shocked hearing this and tears started rolling down from most of the employees eyes. 

The chief immediately ordered, “Bring the stretcher. We are going to bury her right away.”

As ordered, Daisy's body was taken away. Everyone in the office was sad for loosing their best cop. 

On the other side,

After doing all the pending work. Nick came out of his office. He was tired from all the journey and all because he came to his office directly from the airport.

He just wanted to head back home and rest, when Maverick stopped him in his tracks. 

“Where are you going, buddy?” Asked Maverick.

“On a date.” Replied Nick.

“DATE? With whom? Where? When?” Asked Maverick in shock.

“Where? In my home. Who? Well, my bed. Now, if you'll like to give us some privacy. We'll appreciate it.” Said Nick by walking towards the exit.

“Oh common dude. I actually thought that you are going on a real date. You are so boring. How about joining me for a party? There will be girls, dance, alcohol and of course some fun.” Said Maverick in excitement.

“Not interested.” Said Nick, without stopping in his tracks. Totally unbothered by Maverick words.

When suddenly Audrey appeared in front of him, and said, “You have to go. This party is important. Most of the gang leaders will be there. It's important for you to show up in person.” 

Nick is not at all in this party type things. But, after hearing Audrey, he agreed. “Fine. I am coming. I also want to meet some people, who think highly about themselves.”

Maverick winked at Audrey with a thumbs up, and they all walked out of the building. Nick sat in his limited edition black Ferrari and drove to the venue.

Upon reaching the venue, he walked out of his Ferrari looking all handsome, that girls were actually drooling over him.

They were excited to see a handsome and a rich guy entering inside. Maverick and Audrey entered inside with him. 

Almost everyone gasped seeing his presence in the party. None actually believed that he'll show up in here, that too in person. Few even got afraid for their poor little life's because they had offended the mafia king before.

His aura was deadly and none dared to approach him. 

While Maverick got busy with his girls, hanging around him. Nick, who was standing with a glass of wine alone, was the center of attention for many girls.

But, none had the guts to approach him, due to his murderous aura. While Audrey was fuming in jealousy. She couldn't believe that even after so many years, Nick still rejected her. 

When an idea popped in her mind, and she called a waiter giving him some money and saying few words to him, before handing him something.

The waiter as ordered put the powder type thing in the glass of wine and went to Nick, giving him the glass.

Nick took the glass, but didn't drink the wine. Audrey was looking in Nick's direction the whole time, waiting for Nick to take a sip. But to her disappointment, Nick, who was already getting bored, started playing with the wine inside the glass, by tossing it from right to left.

Audrey was getting impatient and the moment she stepped forward in Nick's direction, a few gang leaders came to him. 

Most of them had a good relationship with Nick, and they all started talking. Audrey stopped in her tracks and silently kept her gaze fixed on Nick's glass. 

They all raised a toast and Audrey's face started booming with the victorious smile, thinking that her plan got successful. 

She was waiting patiently for that glass to reach Nick's lips. But, to her bad luck, the moment Nick raised the glass to drink from it, a lady bump into him, causing the wine to spill all over Nick's cloths. 

Nick immediately looked back to find the lady drunk. The lady immediately apologized and left, trying to balance herself.

While Audrey on the other side was fuming in anger. She just wanted to kill the lady, for ruining her plans. But, having no other option, had to control her anger, in order not to raise any suspicion.

Nick then went to the washroom to clean his court. He was standing at the opposite side of the mirror, when he heard two people talking, “Tonight the mafia king will die. Our boss has planned everything. Never knew that the mafia king would be such an easy prey.”

The other man laughed hearing him and replied, “Well, good for us. Today, he'll die, and we'll rule the underworld.” 

They both didn't realize anyone's presence in the washroom, until they both saw Nick standing right behind them, from the mirror. Before they could understand anything, Nick slammed one of the man on the ground, while the other tried to run away.

But, the poor soul, before he could escape Nick caught a hold of him and gave a kick in his face, resulting him to collide with the wall, and then everything in front of him went blank.

Nick's guards immediately entered inside when Nick ordered coldly, “Take them to the dungeon.” And walked away.

The guards as ordered took the two lifeless bodies to the dungeon, while Nick went directly to his king chair in the party.

Maverick was already informed of everything that happened inside the washroom, and he was fuming in anger, when he saw Nick's guards surrounding the entire hall, from all four sides.

When one of the guards, pointed his gun at the man standing in gray pent and court. The man was brought in front of Nick, while Nick moved his two fingers hand gesturing to the guards, who immediately made the man kneel right in front of him.

All the people in the party gasped seeing this because the man was not some commoner, but was considered to be the most powerful after the mafia king.

All the music and everything had long stopped and everyone was looking at the direction of the mafia king, to what he's going to do next? 

While Audrey and Maverick came and stood behind Nick, waiting for his orders.
