Violet

I stood before the enormous school gates, eyes lifted to the towering building beyond. Students in uniforms moved past me, their heads turning, whispering as they walked by.

I didn’t blame them.

I probably looked like a lost street performer with a dog.

My hair was a mess, I didn't have the time to brush it this morning. The baggy shirt I wore hung too long on my arms. And Tiger, my beautiful, oversized dog, sat beside me with his tongue out, mimicking my every movement like a child copying their mother.

I licked the strawberry ice cream in my hand and tilted my head.

Tiger tilted his head and mimicked the motion.

I smiled down at him and patted his head gently. “I’m sorry, Tiger,” I muttered. “You’ve got a weird-looking master taking care of you.”

Tiger barked once, excited as always.

I chuckled and crouched beside him, nuzzling into his fluffy fur. “You’re such a good dog,” I whispered. “Yes, you are.”

Tiger barked louder.

The whispers around me grew louder.

MatthewThe moment he stepped in, no one moved, or spoke. You don’t speak when Hades Sinclair is in the room.Out of all the Sinclairs, out of every man with that cursed, wealthy bloodline running through his veins, there was one no one dared to cross. It was not my grandfather, the wealthiest man on earth. Not my adoptive siblings, Robert and Piper, who were both greedy, clawing at Father’s legacy like wolves at a carcass, or uncle Roman, who kept to himself. But Hades fucking Sinclair. He was terrifying, and worse, he smiled like the devil just before taking your soul.I kept my head low, my fingers curling tighter around the fork in my hand as his shoes echoed down the marble floor, each step slow and unbothered, like he owned the damn place. He sat at the far end of the table, facing Grandfather directly. “Good evening, old man,” My father said casually. “Still breathing, I see. Guess you haven’t kicked the bucket yet.”Grandfather paused. He stopped eating, for the first time th

  • Lust For Me, Daddy's Good Girl    Mr. Hades has arrived

HadesI never liked easy things. They bored me.The chase, the grind, the risk, that’s where the thrill was. The higher the stakes, the sharper my focus. If something was handed to me, I didn’t want it. I wanted to take it. And taking it wasn’t enough. I needed to earn it, break it, and claim it.That’s probably why I’ve always been a monumental headache to my father. He used to call me impulsive, reckless, and unstable. And he wasn’t wrong. When I was fourteen, I got bored and decided to spice up one of his quarterly board meetings. So I snuck into the kitchen and had the house staff swap the sparkling water with a little experimental digestive I was mixing for fun.The entire boardroom emptied out in ten minutes. Suits flew as old men clutched their stomachs and bolted for the bathrooms like their lives depended on itI sat on the counter, laughing so hard I could barely breathe, the camera clutched in my hands. To this day, it’s still the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.My father di

  • Lust For Me, Daddy's Good Girl    Cinderella got lucky

Violet I’ve never seen the Cinderella movies before.I've only read the books. The story was simple, a girl loses her mother young, her father remarries a beautiful but wicked woman with two cruel daughters, and when her father dies, well, that’s when the real nightmare begins. They strip her of everything. Her place, her voice, and her freedom. As a kid, I hated it. Not because it was sad, but because it was stupid. She owned the house, didn’t she? Why didn’t Cinderella just tell them to leave? Why didn’t she fight back? It made no sense to me. She just let herself be walked on like some kind of doormat in pearls. That was probably why I never watched the movie. And as an adult, I didn’t watch it because there was no point. Why would I want to watch it, when I was living it?My aunt was cruel. My cousins were evil. But unlike Cinderella, I wasn’t locked in a dusty attic, I had my own room. The only real difference between us? Her prince wasn’t an asshole.Maybe Cinderella got lucky.

Violet I pressed the buzzer. A second passed. Click. The door creaked open, and I immediately tensed. Of course it was her. Harper, my cousin's personal maid. She was the same age as us. She started working here when she was fifteen, but maid was a generous title for her. She was my cousin's shadow, mouthpiece, and full-time headache. Honestly, the two of them shared one brain cell, when they weren’t using it to torment me and Sebastian. She paused in the doorway, surprise flashing across her face. “You—” she started. I stared at her, blank and emotionless. She looked at my face, then at the suitcase in my hand, and finally at Tiger. Her lips curled. “Oh? Isn’t this Miss Violet? Or am I hallucinating? Is this not the same girl who stormed out a year ago like some tragic heroine acting like she wouldn't come back? What’s this, then? A dramatic return?” I didn’t answer, or gave her a single word. I just shoved past her like she was nothing more than air. She stumbled backw

  • Lust For Me, Daddy's Good Girl    Welcome to hell

Violet I tried not to look at the man beside me.I kept my eyes trained on my hands, fiddling with my fingers like they were the most fascinating things in the entire universe. Which, right now, they absolutely were. Because anything, literally anything, was better than glancing at the man sitting beside me.My professor. My ex’s uncle. The leather of the passenger seat was warm beneath me, and the air inside the car smelled faintly of leather.Tiger, of course, didn’t share my social anxiety. He was at the back, barking excitedly and hopping from one side to the other like a child on too much sugar.“Your dog,” Roman said, “seems to be in a good mood.”I jumped slightly at the sound of his deep voice.“I-I’m sorry, sir,” I blurted out. I turned around to look at the overgrown fluffball and hissed, “Tiger, stay still. You’re messing up the car.”Instead of calming down, he barked louder, tail wagging, clearly under the impression that we were playing a game.I groaned inwardly. No,

  • Lust For Me, Daddy's Good Girl    Oh, Tiger, you have no idea

Violet“I broke up with Matthew, Seb.”“What did he do?” Sebastian’s voice was calm, but there was a seriousness behind his words that immediately made my stomach twist.I turned to him slowly. “What makes you think he did anything? He looked at me, unimpressed. His gaze was too old for his seventeen years.“Because I know you,” he said. “And I know how much you loved him. If you broke up with Matthew, that means he did something. So what was it, Violet?”I stared at him.He was seventeen years old, and already too grown for his age. Sebastian had always been that way, mature, observant, and emotionally sharp. The kind of brother who listened more than he spoke. The kind who picked up on things even when I tried my hardest to hide them.He was the only reason I hadn’t completely lost myself over the years. The reason I kept fighting, even when life had given me every excuse to give up.And just like me, he hated being a burden. That’s why he worked so hard to earn scholarships, to sta
