First Meeting with the CEO.

Chapter 3

The morning sun peeks through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. I was still laying on Sophia, when she, my best friend, gently tapped me awake.

"Hey, wake up, girl. It's morning. You're gonna be late for your appointment," Sophia says, her voice soft but firm.

I sit up, rubbing my eyes as I take in the sight of Sophia running around the room. She's sorting out my clothes, preparing breakfast, and even getting the water ready for my shower. It's like she's treating me like a child, but I don't mind. Right now, I need all the help I can get.

"Thanks, Sophia," I say, my voice hoarse from crying. "I don't know what I would do without you."

Sophia just smiles at me, her eyes filled with determination. "You're my best friend, girl. I'm not going to let you go through this alone."

"Alright, girl. Just get up. The young, fine man will be waiting. I'm definitely sure you don't want to miss your appointment," Sophia says, her voice filled with urgency. "I made you breakfast and heated water for your shower. As soon as you're done bathing, come have breakfast. Then I'll drive you and drop you off at his office. You get me?"

I nod, making a pitiful face. Sophia's words are like a lifeline, pulling me back from the edge of despair.

"Go on, girl," Sophia encourages, her voice softening. "You know I don't like to see you like this."

With a deep breath, I went into the bathroom and began pouring the heated water all over my body.

After a few minutes, I step out of the bathroom and make my way to the desk. The aroma of noodles and fried eggs fills the room, making my stomach growl in anticipation. Sophia has outdone herself.

"You like it, right?" Sophia asks, turning to look at me.

"Yes," I reply, taking a spoonful into my mouth. "It's delicious. Thank you, darling."

Sophia nods, urging me to finish up quickly. "We don't have to be late."

"But he didn't fix a time, so why the rush?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at her.

Sophia sighs, rolling her eyes. "Uhhh, really, he didn't fix a time, but I have other work to do, and you can't delay me."

I can't help but smile at her. "I was just messing with you. You're too hasty about this guy. I think you like him."

Sophia blushes, a rare sight. "Yes, I like him... because he likes you."

"Oh, well, I think he likes you. Maybe he just wants me to get you to tell you his feelings for you," I say, teasing Sophia.

Sophia shakes her head, laughing. "How crazy of you to think like that! I know it's you he likes, and I'm not going to sit here and argue with you.

Please, eat up. Let's get going. We're running late... or rather, you are running late. Whatever, just do as I say. I got you a long sleeve to cover those reddish spots you have and a wig too. So please, make sure he doesn't notice this until he makes you that deal."

I can't help but chuckle at her words, trying to lighten the mood. "Yes, boss. I will do as you've commanded."

With that, I finish my breakfast, get dressed, and prepare myself for the day ahead. Sophia's right. I need to put on a brave face and hope for the best. After all, a million-dollar deal is not something to be taken lightly.

"Alright, girl. This is it," Sophia says, her eyes wide as we pull up to the towering skyscraper. The address Adrian had given us leads to this impressive building. "Go in there and have a chat with the billionaire CEO."

I can't help but feel a pang of nervousness. "Whatever, Sophia," I snapped, trying to hide my anxiety.

Sophia just laughs, shaking her head. "You got this, girl. Remember, we're in this together."

With a final wave and a blown kiss, I step out of the car and head towards the skyscraper, ready to face whatever comes next.

As I step out of the car, I find myself standing in front of the towering skyscraper. The building is a marvel of modern architecture, its glass facade reflecting the morning sun and casting a golden glow on the surroundings. The skyscraper stands tall and proud, a testament to human ingenuity and ambition. It's like a giant reaching for the sky, its top disappearing into the clouds.

The area around the skyscraper is a symphony of sights and sounds. The streets are lined with trees, their leaves rustling in the gentle breeze.

The air is filled with the scent of fresh flowers from the nearby park, mingling with the aroma of coffee from a nearby café. The sound of birds chirping and the distant hum of city life create a soothing background noise.

People in business suits rush past me, their faces set in determined expressions as they head towards the skyscraper. They move with a sense of purpose, their steps echoing on the cobblestone pavement. I can't help but feel a sense of awe as I watch them. They are the movers and shakers of the world, the ones who make things happen.

To my right, a water fountain gushes, the water sparkling in the sunlight. The sight is mesmerizing, the water seeming to dance in the light. The sound of the water is calming, a gentle reminder of nature amidst the concrete jungle.

I take a moment to admire the skyscraper once more. Its sheer size is intimidating, yet inspiring. It's a symbol of progress, of man's relentless pursuit of knowledge and power. And yet, it also stands as a reminder of our responsibility to use that power wisely.

With a deep breath, I gather my courage and walk towards the entrance of the skyscraper. The glass doors slide open automatically, welcoming me into the building. As I step inside, I can't help but feel a sense of anticipation. This is it. This is where it all begins.

Inside, the skyscraper is just as impressive. The lobby is spacious and well-lit, with high ceilings and sleek, modern furniture.
