We were the only ones in the elevator, so I asked her, "Why did you stop me from going back inside? I heard mom sobbing."

"Blaire."

"She was clearly crying because of what… you know… what happened with the jerk whose name we shall not mention."

"Exactly, I guessed so, Blaire. Which was why I wanted to go back in and comfort her and assure her that you are not."

"But you are not, Amelia. And they know it. And they feel guilty, your mom especially. This recent incident must have made them feel even more worse.
