VALERIE
“Walk faster!” I glanced back at my mother’s pale face as my stepfather dragged me roughly to the car parked in the driveway. I wanted to part my parched lips and inquire from him where we were going with my bags but the fear that tightened my heart didn’t let me speak a word. Instead, I followed him sheepishly like a sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. Ever since my father died and my mother remarried, my life has turned upside-down. I turned into a servant overnight at his arrival, and my helpless mother did nothing but watch me do his bidding. Every day, I wished and hoped that I would finally get out of the house and find a life for myself, the life that I was destined for. And sometimes, when I understand how helpless my mother is, I refrain from the thought of running away. But what can one do? I am confused, helpless, and stuck with a monster my mother brought into our lives. My stepfather shoved me into the passenger's seat and slammed the door close before walking over to the driver’s seat. My eyes dimmed in confusion when I saw a tear slip out of my mother’s eyes as the car roared to life and skidded out of the driveway. My stomach churned in discomfort and anxiety as a thousand questions roamed around my head. Where could he be taking me to? Why was Mother crying? Why is my luggage with me? What is going to be my fate after this? I sought desperately for an answer to my numerous questions but found none. Even though it would have been easier if I asked the hardened-faced man seated right next to me, I still couldn’t bring myself to do it. I felt like I was drowning in a pool of anxiety and uncertainty. After many hours of driving, he finally pulled up in front of a large beautiful gate. I couldn’t tell where that was, but I was sure that it was far away from my Pack; it seemed to be another Pack entirely. My stepfather honked the horn severally before the large gates were pulled open. He drove in and parked the car in a corner. He got out of the car and swung the door to my seat open, glaring hatefully at me. “Get out!” he bellowed and didn’t wait for me to move a limb before dragging me out of the car. “Are you here to see the Alpha?” a voice muttered behind us and we turned around to see a large hairy man staring intimidatingly at us. “Yes,” my stepfather said, chuckling nervously. “Follow me,” the man muttered and began to lead the way into a beautiful mansion that stood some distance away from us. I tried to look around the unfamiliar surroundings, but my stepfather’s owlish eyes, which were pinned on me, made that impossible. I fixed my eyes on the back of the huge man, wondering what we were doing in a place like this. The man led us into a large living room, decorated with beautiful historic drawings from ceiling to floor. The luxurious, expensive furniture, Persian rugs, marbled floor, and sweet-scenting flowers positioned at all corners of the large room screamed wealth and power. The echo of footsteps from the spiral staircase brought an end to my fascination. “He is here,” the man muttered and quickly wheezed out of the room, leaving my father with a man that I barely knew. The dark aura revolving around the handsome man hit me, making me take a step back. I stared at his breathtaking face and body. All my life, I’ve never come across a man as handsome as the one that stood a few inches away from me. His enchanting brown eyes stared keenly at me then slowly moved to my stepfather’s face. From the corner of my eyes, I watched my stepfather shudder in fear. That was the first time I had seen fear glisten in his eyes. My brows raised as I wondered who the man was to make my monstrous stepfather shudder in fear. “Greetings, Alpha,” he exclaimed and bowed low to the ground, making my eyes widen. He tilted his head and snickered at me. “Bow, you silly girl!” he snapped and I quickly went down on my knees. Before kissing my forehead to the ground, I raised my eyes at the man and cringed when my eyes locked with those blank brown eyes. I quickly brought my head down and prostrated like my stepfather did. “Is that the girl?” I heard the man ask. “Yes, Alpha,” my stepfather replied without raising his head. “Hmmm… will she be fit for the work?” My heart constricted as I pondered on his words. Work? What work is he talking about? “Yes, to be honest, she is still a virgin!” my stepfather blurted out and I snapped my head in his direction. I wanted to ask what was going on, but my stepfather’s deadly glare, coupled with the man’s aura, shut me up. I gulped down and kept my head down, hoping that it wouldn’t turn out to be what I thought. “Raise your head, little girl,” the man muttered. Even though I didn’t like the sound of him calling me little, I obeyed him and lifted my head. “Get up,” he commanded in a cold voice and I staggered up to my feet. He stared at me with eyes full of dark lust. My body froze as he covered up the spaces between us and pinched my nipples. A gasp escaped from my lips and he smirked in satisfaction. “Her buds are just what I’m looking for,” he muttered and licked his lips, sending shivers down my spine. My stepfather raised his head and grinned. “I knew you would like her, Alpha,” he chuckled. “She’s more than enough to repay the debts that you owe. You can leave,” the man muttered and my father’s grin widened. My heart shrank and dropped into my belly as I stared at the two men in dismay. I didn’t want to believe that my father was selling me off to an unknown man, but the reality of it was glaring mockingly at my face. “My Beta will hand over the remaining money to you once you step out,” the man said and my stepfather nodded eagerly. “Here’s your bag, Val, and be a good girl,” he patted my head before dropping my bag at my numb feet. “Father!” I called out in a quivering voice as he turned around to walk out He cranked his head backward, no ounce of remorse left in his eyes. “Obey the Alpha and be a good girl, you’ll be better off here!” he snarled and trotted out as fast as he could. The tears that stung my eyes dropped freely and rolled down my cheeks as I cried silently. “Wipe those tears away! I don’t like them,” the man huffed and I glanced up at him, summoning my courage. “What do you want from me?” I snapped. His brows raised as he took slow strides towards me then wrapped his fingers around my chin. “Your body.” “What?” I gasped out. He lowered his face to my level and whispered in a dark voice. “You are going to become my sex slave.”VALERIE Lucian's hot kisses trailed down my neck to my shoulder in a slow move, sending chills down my spine whenever his wet lips touched my skin. I felt Killian's hand slowly wrap around my waist while his hot breath teased my bare back. Lucian's hand cupped my left breast, and he pinched my hard nipple, causing a spark to run through my body and earning a sharp gasp from me. Killian's head moved to my ear and he showered hot breath on my face, causing me to shiver slightly in excitement."I hope you will be able to stand erect without losing balance because I'm about to eat your pussy," he whispered and my belly knotted.Lucian chuckled darkly, still showering electrifying kisses all over my body and teasing my nipples. My breath hitched as Killian slowly began to go to his knees. My legs were already shaking as his hands slid up from my ankles to my thighs. My teeth sank into my lips when his fingers grazed my folds. "I wonder how long you will be able to hold it in," Lucian
I stepped into the room with Lucian, my eyes fixed on her figure. My body, mind, and soul were too broken to react with any emotion.I took slow steps closer while Lucian remained at the edge of the bookshelf, staring calmly at her.“You returned?” I whispered in the darkness. She stopped rocking the chair she was sitting on and turned her head in my direction, her hazel eyes piercing deep into my broken, wretched soul.“I promised.”Her voice was so soft and silky that it seemed to float with the air in the room. She got up from the chair and slowly walked towards me, her eyes never leaving my face. My heart suddenly came back to life when she touched my chest. My breath hitched, and my heartbeat moved from a slow-paced beat to a fast-paced beat as her hand traveled to my face.I froze as she leaned closer and kissed my lips deeply yet tenderly. Her hand caressed my cheek and dropped on my shoulder, then circled round my neck as she pulled me closer, biting my lips in the process.T
LUCIAN The moment the words left my mouth, the remaining systems of my body suddenly crashed down, and I gasped in horror while my hands dropped to the ground for support. My burning eyes remained on my mother’s face as the guards that was carrying her body drew closer. This was hard to believe. I shook my head as her reassuring whispers and hopeful words, which always filled our hearts with resilience and joy, echoed in my head and haunted my reviving heart. Why? Why did the moon goddess watch her life get snatched from her, even though she was the only one in the household who partly believed her?“No! No!” Killian whispered in a trembling voice, knelt on the ground with his rage-filled eyes fixed on our mother’s body.I wanted to look away to ease the pain in my heart, but I couldn’t stop my eyes from drawing to the crimson spot on her lower abdomen. My heart burned with rage, and my fist clenched. My trembling lips parted, and a large howl escaped from my mouth. The feet of the m
LUCIANKillian and I sat on cracked stones, catching our breaths atop the blood-soaked rooftop. The moon, which had once been shrouded by storm clouds during the chaos, watched over us as it shone its light on the silent manor. We had a victory, a bitter one. My hands still trembled from the fight, and waves rocked my body, sparking up emotions that I couldn’t define.I glanced at Garam’s corpse, lying in a dark pool that reflected the silver moon hanging above. His face, which was once filled with cruelty, was empty now with no life, evil, or power on it.The bodies of Garam’s creatures, which littered the field below, began to slowly dissolve into dark mist that the breeze carried away, leaving only the blood-filled field and the bodies of the fallen warriors of the pack and the rogues that supported Garam.I wiped my sword clean on the edge of my torn cloak and slid it into its sheath before standing up to face the people who stood below.Everyone began to drop their weapon of war
KILLIAN The sky above had darkened to a bruised purple, streaked with veins of lightning that cracked the heavens as if the gods themselves were bearing witness to this moment. The air was thick with the scent of blood, smoke, and the unmistakable foul and rotten smell of dark powers and demons. Garam didn’t move as we pounded swiftly towards him.He stood at the far edge of the rooftop, robes billowing like wings, arms still folded across his chest, and his grin unwavering. Behind him, shadows coiled and thickened, growing taller and broader, forming the outline of a monstrous beast made of pure darkness. It was horned, fanged, with eyes like burning coals.“You think you can stop me?” Garam called out, his voice carrying over the storm. “You’re insects compared to me and I will crush you beneath my heel," he added, his grin dark.“We’ll see about that,” Lucian snarled, leaping first.I was right behind him with my bloodstained spear raised, and my heart hammering in my chest like
MICHELLE I coughed loudly as I staggered along the corridor, clutching my bleeding belly. I groaned and stopped walking then slid down to the ground. I pulled my hand away and stared at the blood on my palm. I thought I would feel peace and better after killing the Luna Queen, but somehow, I didn't feel better. Instead, I felt worse. I staggered up and continued to stagger forward. Everything was over. Even if the Lycan brothers won this war, the lordess of destruction would come and destroy every single thing they had fought for. All I wanted was revenge and perhaps, if possible, power. I had gotten revenge on the Luna Queen and Valerie. All that was left was to find the power that I needed to be safe from the Lycan brothers because I was sure that they would come for me.There was only one way to protect myself from the Lycan brothers, and that was aligning with the lordess of destruction.Though the stories that I had heard and read concerning her were scary and spine-chilli
