VALERIE

The fire spread so fast across the tunnel, causing panic to set into my body.

I cried out in fear and cringed back to where Jasmine lay.

I gripped her hand, panting heavily, my eyes still glued on the spreading fire that had lightened up the dark tunnel.

"Alexander?" Jasmine's horror-stricken voice waved into my ear, forcing me to swerve my attention away from the fire.

A knot formed in my throat as I stared at the face that glared down at us.

"What are you two doing here?" He growled in anger, causing me to shiver in fear.

I exchanged glances with Jasmine, both of us expecting the other to speak up.

"I can't believe this," the lycan prince whispered, swerving his head.

"The two of you are under arrest for breaking one of the most important rules of the Pack! He snapped and bent over, reaching for our wrist.

I snapped my head in Jasmine's direction, alarm laced against my face. She had the same expression too, and her skin was as pale as that of a ghost.

KILLIAN Her face turned sour when she raised her head and found us in her room. She huffed in annoyance and glared at us with venom in her eyes. "What are you doing here?" She snapped, glaring from Lucian to me. "We should talk this out, shouldn't we?" Lucian muttered and she scoffed, twitching her lips in disgust. "Talk out the fact that you two killed my father?" She snapped and my muscles clenched. Lucian sighed and dropped his head in guilt. The accusation kept hitting us down into guilt and making us surrender to her torture of unforgiveness. I knew this would come to this but I still couldn't bring myself to keep it away from her. She needed to know the truth and she needed to hear it from us and not from Michelle. "What if we hadn't told you the truth?" Lucian muttered and her frown deepened. "Can't you see that we want to change for you? We would have gladly kept it to ourselves and continued to live happily with you in lies, but we couldn't."She chuckled, shaking he

VALERIE I staggered back till my back hit a hard body and a hand gripped my waist, almost crushing my bones. I winced and tried to wriggle out but he held tight, not letting go as I requested. I figured out that it was Lucian as his scent kept hitting my nose."Why did you do it?" Killian asked as he trudged closer. I stopped struggling with Lucian and swerved my head in the direction of Killian, glaring at him murderously. "I have the right to do whatever I want, so stay away!" I groused, the hatred I felt for them heightening. Killian chuckled and I heard his footsteps echo as he shuffled closer to me. I snapped Lucian's grip off and shifted away, heaving as I turned my back on him and focused on the girl."You know she would have died, right?" He muttered. I huffed and spun around, glaring at him with hatred and disgust in my eyes. "I wonder when you started caring about death," I muttered, huffing loudly. He narrowed his eyes and sighed loudly, stepping back. "Forget ab

VALERIE I jerked my head up, my eyes widening in horror at her words. I felt my heart drop into the pit of my belly as her words echoed in my mind countlessly. Murmurs filled the room as everyone stared at her with a dropped jaw. My hands shook and I staggered back, staring at her in shock and horror. This was all a lie. It could never be true!"I know you're lying, you'll never hurt anyone," I screamed, jumping out of the box. I rushed towards her but the guards held me back, dragging me back to the box. I tried to wiggle out of their grip as I screamed out her innocence. "Stop it, she hasn't done anything. This is a lie!" "It is not a lie! You're being deceived, Valerie!" She snapped and my heart constricted. I slapped the hands of the guards away and stared at her in disbelief, heaving loudly in rage. "You are lying, aren't you?" I muttered. She turned and faced the Beta, a blank look on her face. The Beta batted his lashes, slowly recovering from the shock her confess

VALERIE My head jerked back and my jaws dropped in shock as I stared at the girl standing at the large doors. She looked exactly like me. The only difference was the color of her eyes and the size of her body, which was thinner than mine."I know who pushed the maid off the rooftop and it's not Lady Valerie!" She snapped, heaving loudly. My heart constricted and I grabbed the edge of the box for support. Had she been here for a long time? Who brought her here? The questions of her identity filled the room as the air suddenly grew tense. My eyes cascaded down her body and awe filled my mind at not just the striking resemblance between us but the words she blurted out as well. The hall became more chaotic as confusion spread across the audience, even Lucian and Killian couldn't help but exchange shocked glances.Michelle wrapped her hands together and sank her teeth into the bottom of her lips as discomfort darted across her eyes. She swerved her head in the direction of the girl

MICHELLE My heart leaped when Valerie was brought into the court by the guards. She cast a cold glance at me before stepping into the box made for the suspect. I gulped hard and looked away, my heart thumping loudly. The Luna Queen walked in, her face stern and filled with disgust. She paused and swerved her head in the direction of Valerie, clenching her fist in indignation. I smiled, aware that her hatred for Valerie had tripled, blooming into an emotion worse than hate. The Luna Queen sank into the seat next to mine, followed by Arlene. The court was filled with voices spilling out different thoughts concerning her. Only a few voices doubted the accusation. I smirked at the amount of voices that supported her execution. I looked at her with mockery in my eyes but they dropped when she smirked at me, silently reminding me of her threat. A sigh left my lips and I looked away, the happiness in me dissolving away. I managed to avoid Valerie's eyes till the Lycan kings walk

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Broken by the truth

VALERIE I stared blankly at them, my mind numb and refusing to process the confession that they had just made. Pain splashed through my veins like acid, burning away the memories of their gentle touches and fresh promises. My heart shattered into tiny splinters that could never be put together again. How could they? The questions echoed in my mind, forcing more bitter drops of pain and confusion down my throat. Everything felt like a lie. I wished everything they just said was all a lie, a prank. Tears lurked at the corners of my eyes, but I couldn't cry. I couldn't even react to their words, no matter how much I wanted to. I was frozen, trapped in a cruel world that I couldn't escape from. A world that I had willingly longed for and finally found. "What did you say?" I muttered in a shaking voice. I desperately hoped that they would smirk like they used to and ruffle my hair, picking at me for believing the prank they had played on me. The words I wished to hear only echoed

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Forgiveness?

LUCIAN "Valerie?" I muttered, peering at her closely, my heart clenched. "You think she's dead?" Killian asked and I scoffed. "Does she look dead?" I snapped. "It's morning already and she's still not awake—" "That doesn't mean that she's dead!" I snapped. He glared at me and narrowed his eyes then leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "She's getting warm," he muttered and sighed loudly. "That means she's getting better, right?" I asked, smirking in delight. He swerved his head in my direction, his lips twitched up in what seemed like disgust. "Have you ever seen a dead person warm?" He groused. I huffed and ignored him, knowing he was trying to get back at me for snapping at him. We sat in the room in silence, impatiently glancing at our wristwatch. The door burst open and Neil walked in, clutching a pile of documents. "The time for the trial is catching up on us, Alpha. What should I tell the Pack members?" He inquired, worry lurking around his eyes. Killian glanced

LUCIAN She dropped to the ground and began to convulse then slowly went stiff. My fist clenched, and I made to walk towards her, but the Pack's doctor stopped me, warning me with her eyes."Send the guards away and do not interfere in the exorcism," she warned.I nodded obediently and stepped back."Leave us!" Killian growled out and the guards bolted out of the cottage with fear in their eyes. The Pack's doctor walked around her body seven times, chanting words that I couldn't understand and swinging the incense burner over her body. After the seventh trip, Valerie gasped and jerked up then spun around and faced us. "Shit!" Killian spat and threw away the cigarette he was holding. Her jaws were dropped, her body was as pale as that of a ghost with veins popping out, and her eyes were rolled back. She groaned in a quivering voice and stretched out her trembling hand, swinging her head carelessly to the sides. The Pack's doctor didn't stop swinging the incense burner, and the cha

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Abduction

VALERIE I tried to scream as the unknown men dragged me along the empty street but all that came out was a muffle as a result of the gag placed over my mouth. I had almost fallen asleep when these men unlocked the door to the cell I was in and grabbed me.I had tried to fight them off, they were much stronger than me.I didn't know who these men were but I could tell that the one who sent them was none other than that witch, Michelle. Was that her way of trying to shut me up forever? Is this how she plans on stopping my trial that will take place tomorrow?I wasn't surprised to realize that even the guards helped her get me kidnapped. Soon, she would turn everyone to her side and take over the pack. Perhaps, that has always been her aim—to reign. A door to a cottage at the end of the street swung open and the men trudged in then threw me to the ground. I groaned loudly and struggled to sit up on the cold floor."Untie her." A hard, male voice shot through the dark room and my
